re Murray - he's had a very strange autumn to his career.
An amazing 13 goal season as recently as 2018/19 in the Prem, in his mid-30s. But just 1 goal in the 18 months since then
Only 786 minutes in 19-20 though, largely off the bench And only 110 mins at Watford this season.

Murray is one hell of a risk. 37 years old and they can spectacularly 'go' at that age.
Has been a very good striker in his day though at this level. Tough call on that one for whoever has to make it.
Not sure I'd like to be the one that makes it.

As it stands right now though, you'd have to be serious about him - or, at least, try and have a good look at him if at all possible.
Not least because our striking optipns are grim and our xG probably even grimmer.

Warnock says he expects competition for the frontman and it will be "down to the player if he chooses us".

Is delap injured for Man City?
Not even on the bench for a game at Cheltenham.
Strange if he’s not injured.

Possibly Davis at Villa as Onlooker says? Think their striker Wesley is nearing fitness. Still think we may have a late nibble at him? Is delap injured for Man City? Not even on the bench for a game at Cheltenham. Strange if he’s not injured. Don't think so. He scored a hat-trick for their u23s in midweek - then got sent off. But apparently he isn't suspended, just not featuring. He must think he's banging his head against a wall there.

If Davis is an option still I think he’d be a decent signing.

Yes I suppose it could be Davies as 3/4 clubs are after him.I just wondered if it could be either Gregory or Vokes with Boro being linked to Gregory last summer

If Davis is an option still I think he’d be a decent signing. Could add another 3 goals to his career league total. He looks mobile and seems to be able to hold the ball up well. If he can be a focal point that creates space for Powell/Allen/the wide players then he’ll be a good addition regardless of how many he gets himself.

Surely I’m misreading what you’re saying. He’s 17 and at one of the best clubs/squads in world football isn’t he.

Obviously he's not yet in a position to get 10+ starts there, and it's nowhere near crisis point in terms of your development when you're 17. He probably feels reasonably satisfied with his development at a superclub, and only turning 18 in a few weeks But he does look very special - and as Sancho and even Foden found out, chances for even special youngsters there are few and far between. I think he'll have expected 3 or 4 more chances to get on the pitch in Aguero's absence, and maybe a start in a game like today. It remains to be seen if it's different next season, or if they'll continue adding ready-made superstar strikers to the mix to keep him down the pecking order. He already seems Championship-starting calibre. If Man City feel training with their squad outweighs 15 Championship starts, fair enough. But as Sancho shows, this kind of slow-slow approach to blooding special youngsters isn't for everyone - but it obviously goes with the territory at a club like that. And, to be fair, the slow-slow approach seems to have worked out okay for Foden.
