In the BBC article it mentions that Billy McKinlay was in charge for 8 days and 2 games. I bet he is glad to be at a relatively stable club these days with an Owner that supports the manager.

I would hate have owners like that, why would you take that job knowing you will be sacked within a year? Considering the mercenary attitude to modern football, there is only one feasible answer to that, MONEY.

Xisco Munoz will be Watford's new manager, Adam Leventhal can reveal. The Athletic understands that a deal has been agreed until the end of the season, with the former Valencia winger set to meet staff tomorrow.
They've gone down the exotic path again - and only 'til the end of the season.

He even only took it this year for his first proper managerial stint! Disaster written all over this one surely. Odds on getting sacked before his end of season deal runs out?

Very bold of you to assume he’ll still be there by the time that day comes.

What a shitty club Watford are, unlikely that it will happen, but I hope they plummet through the leagues under their current ownership. They don’t deserve any success with their manager merry go round.

Ivic was sacked because of a fallout related to Troy Deeney and the owner wasn't he? There seems to be more behind it than the league position, however crazy Watford are at sacking their managers.

He left TD out for (alleged) “disciplinary” reasons. Solid waste matter hitting air conditioning ensue.
