Warnock time
Expecting a tight game?
Any of the walking wounded back? Mikel maybe?
What's their line up likely to be.

Warnock. Loads of videos on him on U Tube. Seems a right nasty bastard.

I’m expecting a really tight game. Warnock dropped Asombolonga yesterday which caused a bit of a stir. He’s been their main striker but was wasteful in front of goal in their recent defeat to Huddersfield.
Good win for them yesterday against Swansea with the lad Whatmore (ex Sunderland) scoring twice.
Their best player so far this season is Paddy McNair judging by what I’ve read on their forum.
I’d expect one change for us, fitness permitting, and that’s McLean for Brown.

They play 3 at the back and don’t play possession football. We really need to take the game to them from the start

I think that with our current injury problems, and being a bit stretched, this will be a game too far for us at the moment and we will have something of a set back. Still hoping for more, but a good team and even better manager so we will need to have luck and the ref on our side for a change.

They're a decent side but certainly nothing to fear. I think if it weren't for FFP we would have triedto buy McNair for the Mikel role. I fancy a draw. Cardiff will be equally tough though.

The games continue to come thick and fast. I am terrified of Campbell getting an injury in this busy period. I would be tempted to rest one or two and bring in some fresh legs. Although we dont have too much in reserve do we.
Bursik Collins Chester Baath Fox Cousins Tymon Oakley-Booth Powell Mclean Vokes
Not ideal but gives a chance to rest Campbell and Clucas.

Tough game this as i expect Boro to be in the mix for promotion come May. If we do beat them though it would be a fantastic boost & set us up nicely for a busy xmas period.

It's such a mad league, where anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Seems more noticeable now we win more often! Before it was just us losing On top of that the situation with injuries and bloody isolating can throw a spanner in things v quickly. As such, it seems that if we can win 2 and draw 1 from any 4, that, as much as any long term form table, is a good guide to how we're doing. I think we can beat one of Boro and Cardiff, and one of QPR and Derby. Nick a point and we're cushty. The good thing is we're not drawing many. Start going 1-2-1 instead of 2-1-1 and the points gap begins to grow. So the way to get through the campaign is a series of small sequences. People, including me, make the point about us not playing well, but I was never massively impressed with the teams who were turning us over early last season - we were just shitter than them. When you consider that we beat Fulham and Swansea under Jones, Brentford and West Brom under O'Neill, and that places 5-10 last season were filled by such powerhouses as Preston, Forest and Derby, then we can be comfortable with not being world beaters, just point baggers. On current form we're due for 75 points with a game to go. Could make Bournemouth an interesting trip... I think we'll lose, annoyingly, to Boro and then win surprisingly against newly in form Cardiff.

I think this is the toughest game this season on paper, especially with who we've got available and how knackered the players that are fit looked for the last 25 minutes at Wycombe.
Teams don't get much joy in attack against them anyway, and I think they'll be especially defence-focused away at us on Saturday. Don't think our depleted / knackered looking squad have got back to back wins in them at the moment, could have done with a fortnight off before this.
Predicting a Boro win to nil and some more injuries.

They signed up Duncan Whatmore on a short term contract, he scored 2 last night. Remember his pace a few years ago giving us the run around, didn't look too sluggish even after his knee troubles

That'd be cool. Play him as our false nine. Rest Powell who needs not to pick up any injuries, which he might well get against a tough Boro defence.

I remember one schools cup game where he was playing and Mad Mick and the chief executive of Everton were watching him. I also remember the game when Shawcross was sent off after a clash with him. Very bright lad, though -First in Economics at Newecastle.

I hate Warnock. As far as I have ever been able to work out, his approach to football is to get his teams to practically cheat, kick lumps out of the opposition, complain like hell about every decision, dive and feign injury at the slightest chance, provoke opposition players and time-waste.
Every game against him is a fucking pantomime. He even looks like Widow Twanky.
