Very nearly booked a weekend away...in September! Came to my senses when I realised that the season would be underway and I might miss a game! What an idiot!!!
Anyone else fallen into the close season trap and fixed up trips that might clash with City in the Premier League?

no and never will, my missus fully understands the importance of it all. was the same years ago, i used to do a lot of match fishing on the midland circuit and both my sons were born during the close season. i do appreciate that some people have factory shutdowns and have to take holidays then but even so there are 12 weeks to get your holidays in so there should be no excuse no doubt i will get lambasted for saying it but hey ho

My missus is fine with it...it was me having a "senior moment", I guess the lack of matchday experience made my mind wand.. ...what time's tea?

I'm over in Marbella for a week with the wife & little un in mid-September. Only away for one weekend so if the fixture computer is kind then I might get away with it!
Away somewhere crap on 20th September! Away somewhere crap on 20th September! Away somewhere crap on 20th September!

me n the missus normally go on holiday for a week in september , this year we were thinking of going for a week in North Yorks or somewhere like that , till I came up with a better plan .
A Holiday at home ;D
week in a cottage £300 petrol £150-200 Food £50 plus Spending money £150
for a week in a self catering cot in yorkshire .
My argument was , well we could half that amount , have £350 spending money and eat in a different restaurant every night , apparently London is a really nice city maybe we should have a look at some of the bits we haven't seen in 10 years here . Plus we wont have to leave the cats at your mums, as they hate travelling, you know the accomodation will be fine , it'll feel JUST like home.
and the bit I missed off, i won't feel an ounce of guilt when i fook off up to stoke's home games that week ;D
