When I was a child my dad took the family there to see british boxer Bruce Woodcock at his training camp in the castle. Anyone else remember him?................You must be ancient

My missus loves that castle. She wanted to go on her birthday earlier this year and it was all fenced off with a guard at the gate. She was well disappointed. Little did we know at the time that the castle was being done up for the new I'm a celebrity venue, so now she sees the castle every day. Admittedly seeing it for real beats the tv as its a marvellous place. Its hard to believe in the late 80s it was a fully functioning venue. Its amazing how nature takes the land back. I hope they restore it to its former glory as its wonderful place.
For those who dont know its called Gwrych Castle neat abergele.

.... remember the first one ever was filmed up here at Goshen Station (cattle not trains) owned by our neighbours the Blennerhassets. Margaret Hamilton (wife of the MP Neil) was on it and came to see me. My sister in the UK put us onto it as she recognised the place where the celebs were staying on the coast was where I got married
