Bursik - 5 Firstgame I know, looked a bit susceptible but he will learn and get better Fox - 5 didn't notice him really Souttar - 8 - despite letting 3 in I thought he had a great game Ba'ath - 7 poor first half but better second half Smith - 5 same as Fox really Clucas - 6 quiet game but great goal Mikel - 7 looked smooth and relaxed in midfield Brown - 5 completely anonymous Powell - 7 Great pressing for 70 minutes and should have had a penalty Campbell - 9 this lad is the real deal Fletcher - 8 showed all his experience Collins - 6 Cousins 6 Vokes and Gregory - not on long enough

Bursik - 5, good awareness, but a bit dodgy in the air. Fox - 6, OK, but nothing more this afternoon. Souttar - 7, must take much of the blame for their second. Batth - 7, so important in the second half! Won a lot of crucial headers in the box. Smith - 5, struggled a bit today and no attacking impact. Clucas - 7, good to have him back. Gives us more going forward, but doesn't protect the defence as well as Thompson. Mikel - 8, he is really showing his class now! Brown - 5, not very impressed by Brown. Powell - 7, a lot of good work, and I think he should have had a penalty as well! Campbell - 9, already worth £25M in my opinion! Fletcher - 6, not his best game, but a fantastic through ball for Campbell. Collins - 6, exactly what we needed at the right time! Cousins 6, did exactly what was expected from him. Vokes and Gregory, were both important after they came on.

Bursik 6 Smith 6 Batth 7 Souttar 6 Fox 6 Mikel 7 Clucas 6 Brown 5 Powell 7 Campbell 8* Fletcher 7 Collins 6 Cousins 6 Vokes 6 Gregory 6 Pretty spot on for me. Clucas qualifies for 6 only because of his goal obviously, otherwise very much a 5. I might have given Collins a 7 because without him I think we would have conceded again I also might have given Souttar a 7 for the bits of good defending he did do. There were periods of the game when I thought he was the only reliable defender. He certainly felt more dependable than Smith and Fox.

Yeah Clucas was off the pace today (understandable) but you always get a goal threat from him which is invaluable. Can he play Tue/Sat as well after being out for 6 weeks? I thought Souttar was slightly down on his recent impeccable standards but he's turning in to some player. I think you're right re:Collins on reflection he deserves a 7. What I will say about Smith and Fox is I thought Huddersfield's combination play on both flanks was superb......

Bursik 4 - should have done better with both goals but the third is harsh for him. But played as expected really
Smith 4 - another really bad game from him
Souttar 4 - at fault for the third and offered no protection for the goalie
Batth 5 - dreadful in the first half but got better but again the protection for the goalie was none existent
Fox - 5 - got beat a bit too often but not as bad as Smith
Mikel - 5 - we couldn’t keep the ball and not great for the first goal either
Clucas - 5 - would have been lower bar the goal which was cracking
Brown - 4 - did nothing, shouldn’t be starting
Powell - 8 - excellent pressing, some excellent cut backs, should have been given a peno. Key to our excellent attacking
Campbell - 9 - just class, two brilliant finishes, has to start most games
Fletcher - 8 - pressing and harrying and a lovely through ball. Should have scored from Powell’s cut back but him Powell and Campbell are sheer class
Collins 6 - steadied the ship a bit at the back
Cousins - 5 - didn’t do much, a crap sub really but not his fault

They also didn't make the most of some excellent pressing by the forwards so it was a poor defensive display. Agree with the high marks for Fletcher Campbell and Powell who are all a bit special in their own different ways. All 3 are a delight to watch.

Our attacking players sorted it out today and have been given point accordingly, disagree strongly on brown but other than that I don’t see anything too glaring

Too many times as well the back line don’t communicate/understand like Smith for the second playing offside when the person he should be taking his position from wasn’t. Thick.

Our forward players are Promotion quality atm our defensive players are certainly not Our goalkeepers have been bailing our defenders out, not sure Bursik will be able to keep that up.

Bursik 4 A baptism of fire, badly exposed by a poor defensive display but at fault for two of the goals. Hopefully it won't damage his confidence too much.
Smith 4 What on earth was he doing for their second goal.
Souttar 5 His lack of pace and mobility badly exposed today.
Batth 6 As with Souttar lack of pace and mobility but rescued a bit by two great defensive headers at 4-3.
Fox 5 Under pressure throughout and struggled to cope with their movement, better at wing back.
Brown 4 Anonymous throughout the game.
Mikel 6 Mostly solid, our best midfielder today.
Powell 5 Should have scored early on and too often off the pace, one great move to set up Fletcher just after half time.
Clucas 6 Great goal but most the game he seemed off the pace
Fletcher 7 led the line well great set up of Campbell's second goal, but should have scored just after HT.
Campbell 8 Two great finishes and forced the OG, that is what he is there for but two poor touches spoiled the opportunity for a hat trick.
Collins 6 Helped steady the defence when we went to a 3.
Cousins 5 Did he touch the ball?
Gregory 6 Was a nuisance to their defence did what was asked
Votes 6 As for Gregory.

Some very harsh scores for Bursik IMO,
He read the danger coming out of his area a couple of times and only really had a chance for the fist which he got a hand to, made a good save near post at the end, i actually thought it was a fair to good debut

It’s just a lazy accusation in itself said because he plays in a role that comes with those stereotypes.
