At least we now have 1 defender on the bench, unlike Saturday!

Was Mikel captain on Saturday as well? Can’t say I noticed.....

I think it makes sense. Chester coming in will allow Souttar to go back into the centre, we lose abit of height at the back, but they are the 3 most comfortable on the ball.
I also like Thompson in for Clucas, Thompson has impressed with his sharp passing so far, interested to see how it goes.

I really hope replacing Batth with Chester won't cost us tonight!

Interesting/surprising to see Ince on the bench ahead of McClean.

Effectively playing with 10 men with that useless lump Chester.
The modern day Marc Wilson, a calamity per game.

Interesting/surprising to see Ince on the bench ahead of McClean. I presume McClean hasn't shaken off the injury he had last Saturday. Or they could be waiting to unleash him on Brentford - theoretically a much harder game.

Clucas hasn't looked as effective as he did at the end of last season.

I like Thompson Mikel midfield 2. More solid I think. interesting to see if Chester gels better with Collins and Souttar than Baath.

Clucas hasn't been great this season and I agree re Thompson - he's looked very assured whenever he's played. Good to see O'Neill putting form before reputation.

I don’t think Clucas is injured but he’s playing as if he is injured though
Good team, like Thompson for Clucas, unsure about Chester but pleased Collins and Souttar now look 1st choices

We have two games a week up until Christmas. Are people seriously expecting to see the same XI every game?

Interesting/surprising to see Ince on the bench ahead of McClean. Yeah what's happened with McClean? He's not getting a look in for the squad, let alone the XI...

Wonder if Chester will line up on the left or right of the 3? Presumably Souttar will go back to being the central one of the 3?

Not happy about Chester, but that team should be good enough to beat Barnsley 🤞
