So Microsoft aren't playing around with Sony next gen. They've slammed that warchest dick down like old Peter in a transfer deal and gone and acquired all Zenimax studios (nearly 10 of them?)
Going forward, it seems games like Fallout, DOOM, Elder Scrolls, Quake (please bring it back), Prey etc... will all become Xbox and PC exclusives. Great for me as I have a gaming PC with Game Pass, and getting a PS5 this year. Best of both worlds.
As for people who specifically are going to game PS5, they are losing a lot of 3rd party IP's here. I don't think some people online can comprehend just how big of a statement the acquisition is (7.5 Billion Dollars too).

Demons Souls is Bluepoint Games remaster so remains on PS5 (owned by Sony with Japan Studio) Death loop and Ghost Wire are still PS5 exclusive as well, but wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft end up bringing them to game pass after a few months of their releases. |

Well now they have grabbed activision One of the best things that could happen to the gaming industry I would be for people to realise the micro transaction tripe that companies like activision churn out are actually copy and paste garbage. PC gaming is so much more diverse, superior and mature than console gaming. I’d love a focus shift to producing top notch PC content but I think developers are hamstrung by having to ‘consolize’ their games so they appeal to kids. |
