Some excellent podcasts, this one with Gerry Taggart is superb.

Forgot we had Ed de Goey between the sticks. Who was the other ex-Stoke player with Gerry, on his left?

If the main host, the Bolton “comedian” and John Parkin were nothing to do with this podcast then it would be alright. I’ve never heard such unfunny, cringey, thick ‘lad banter’ in my life.
Whenever any player talks about a big win in their career, Parkin is straight in with “I bet you had a good drink after that one” and then everyone pisses themselves laughing. Absolute embarrassment.
Bringing men’s mental health to the fore by having Clarke Carlisle on is the best thing they’ve done.
Some guests are great but the hosts are as bad as it gets.

Think it’s been said before but if you haven’t listened to Mark crossley on there then do so!! The funniest thing I’ve heard in a very long time. I was actually crying with laughter

Dicko’s is class. His Pulis impression had me in stitches.
You can count the not so good one’s on one hand for me, some guests have really took me by surprise.
Paul Mckenna’s is brilliant, as is Nicky Weaver’s, Stephen Elliott’s and Matt Kilgallon’s.
Both of Crossleys are excellent, his Cloughie impression and stories are class and his Frank Clark impression is an absolutely pisser.

They may not be your type of people but to call them an embarrassment is ludicrous 😂. Some of the work they have done to help raise awareness not just from Clarke’s but other players who have suffered with many different issues is second to none. Not to mention Parky putting his own time and money to a few local causes over the last year or two, which frankly he doesn’t have to do especially as he has no lasting affinity to the club or the area.

That’s great if it’s helping people, and they’ve got my support and congratulations on that - but it doesn’t mean they’re funny. And to tell me how many followers they’ve got to prove it’s good, is laughable. Millions of people voted for Trump. Millions of people like Take That. Does that make them good? Do you like it when (someone like Clive Allen) is talking about their career and Parkin just keeps on saying “fuck me. 40 goals in a season? I bet you had a good drink after that” just constantly wanting to be a “lad”, desperate to talk about drinking. The guests go on to talk about football (not the new wave of morons, but Allen, Crossley, etc). I like for format and I like the guests. The host aren’t funny at all, they swear far too much (I’m no prude but it’s not necessary) and just can’t wait to talk about drinking, even when the guest clearly isn’t interested. But whatever you’re into.

I’m playing catch up as new to the podcast, and after about 9 shows it’s been a bit Marmite, some good ones and some others have been just boring childish drivel. The ‘Baz’ Rathbone one is especially good, and interesting from the start to finish. Lennie’s one was also interesting, although to be fair he’s always great value as an interview. Completely different to Colin Murray’s Podcast which are generally all good, but I just but move on to the next one if it becomes a recap all about who drinks the most.

Can't be doing with this cringey 'lad' shit.
It's 25 years past its sell by date now.
