You sound surprised! 😂 Vokes has done less. Wooden and utterly fucking shit. Vokes is poor I agree, but he will always get more goals than that fucking fraud of a striker that is Gregory. 😎

Hmm.
Not a great watch, to put it mildly.
Positives - we've never looked remotely like conceding....and it's half-time!

I think we have actually looked really solid. A front two with pace and movement would certainly help. Impressed by Thompson.

Yep very solid so far Binary returns 😄 We need to ditch this 3-5-2 though. For as solid as it makes us, against teams in and around us (not tonight obviously) it just kills us going forward.

Gregory may as well not be there, he’s lost the ball every time he’s touched it. Except the two corners he forced ....

A reminder tonight, if one was needed, that any interest from Charlton or Udders in Gregory should be heartily welcomed. Just hope they are not watching!

The only negative is the give aways we’re doing when we’ve actually had the ball.
Usually Thompson or McClean. They need to calm down and try to keep it than aimlessly whacking it forward.

If we stick with this for 90 minutes against Bristol I’ll be disappointed but it’s fine for tonight and last weekend.

Think Collins and Souttar have looked strong. They seem to be communicating very well, a pairing of the two from such a young age, and with such promise is quite exciting.
I'm not saying Batth or Chester should be dropped, but having these two as backup can only be a good thing really.

Highlight is Defence
Souttar looks assured, as do BMI and Collins.

Start of season and 225 minutes without conceding a goal. Anyone know the record?

The concern is the second half will be more open. But we’ve done OK. Like to see O’Neill mix it up with the forwards, it’s difficult for the midfield when they have the ball and see Vokes/Gregory in front of them.

Thompson is worrying, need to see something a bit more encouraging. With McClean we more or less know the deal. I couldn't tell if it was Smith or Thompson who was playing awful balls into the box

Problem is, we're not going to be dominating midfield against these. I think Thompson's been decent tonight, and we have youngsters in that midfield three. Unless MON puts Ty or Brown on to run the channels, the best we can hope for is to get it up to Vokes or Gregory and hope something sticks.

I'd swap them both given the defencive set up we look to want to play this season, with Mikel in front of them they won't get exposed much this season, may as well use it to get them some experience and hopefully improve them.
