Kyle Lightbourne wasn't as bad as people made out.
Carl Hoefkens was cack but was adored by many.

I thought Peter handyside was the worst Centre Half we've ever had.
I never thought Marlon Broomes was all that bad either.

Agree with Hoefkens- thought was very over-rated as a defender. Ronnie Sinclair also- never rated him as a keeper.

You're just one key away from being a daft racist there Knowles!!
Personally I always liked Gerry McMahon for some reason! And in more recent times I think Buxton is ten times better than some people think.

I always rated Greenacre.
But always thought Bjarni was shit.
Agree about Buxton as well, he's nowhere near as bad as people make out.

I though Ernie Tapei was a legend, despite him only playing against Crewe for 45 minutes.
And blad headed bastard Kenny Lowe was a midfield impressario in my eyes.

The visionary that was Sammy Irvine - passed to where players should have been but sadly not always where they were.
Good shouts for Razor and Stigga - both worked their socks off for the team and did all of the ugly stuff that allowed others to play.
McMahon was consitently shite in all of the games he played for us and Gordon Marshall was a walking comedy football video all on his own - "a mistake"? He made at least 3 or 4 every game he played in.

Player I was right about - Lee Dixon. Predicted he would play for England after a handful of games for us.
Players I was wrong about, said Mark Goodfellow would play in the Premiership after a handful of games.
“Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, always certain”!

And bald headed bastard Kenny Lowe was a midfield impressario in my eyes. When he joined Hartlepool he lived next door to my aunty up north and I ended up having a meal with him. Cracking chap and seemed to genuinely love football

I rated Hargreaves, pre-2006, not sure if anyone else did?
From the Stoke side - I always thought Lightbourne got a rough ride. And I dont think I was ever party to all the John Halls hype that was around before he put his transfer request in

Agree with those who say Lewis Buxton is better than he's given credit for.
Always thought Foley was over-rated.
