Cant wait to pre order the PS 5 myself I’m going for the ps5. Had both the Xbox one and PS4, initially. Sold the Xbox as everyone went onto PS, then did the reverse. After selling the PlayStation and playing Xbox, I’ve realised how trash Xbox is. PS4s are smoother with better graphics, whilst having smaller game download sizes. Microsoft seem stubborn and are clinging to Gears and Forza as exclusives, which haven’t been good since the first 2 in each series. Whilst Sony seem to proactive with deals and new exclusives, ps plus is free compared to Xbox game pass with is circa. £120 pa. Can see Microsoft making a huge loss on this project, they used to be superior in the Xbox 360/ps3 debate, they’ve let themselves go massively. Dated, slow, mismanaged and unhelpful company with a currently trash console.

Prefer PC games but will probably grab a ps5 PC literally tops everything! If I had the space I’d have a mega PC set up and get everything on Steam, better graphics and FOV and can use my favoured Xbox controller with it being smoother than a PlayStation. One can only wish!

I’m on a gaming laptop at the moment. Plays pretty much all the latest games but it’s starting to lag with the real top notch ones. Got plans for £2k desktop build but got to figure how it gets past the missus yet!

It’s an option, the problem is she’s more tech savvy than me 😂. She’s all about Mac’s and MacBooks. Give me windows and it’s gaming potential anyday!

You can now buy desktops that are the size of a console. Bit expensive though compared to standard

Going for a PS5 personally. Don't play enough to warrant dishing out for a PC. Not sure if I'll pre order. Can't seem to find anywhere to do that in Belgium....at the moment.

I missed the preorder on both🤦♂️ I’m going with the Xbox not because I’m a fanboy just because I have a large back catalogue of games that I will be able to just pick up and play. I will get a ps5 as I own a Xbox and PS4 now but I will upgrade my Xbox first.

What games have we all ordered then?
As I'm moving to PS this time, I got:
H:ZD Miles Morales Demon's Souls (I'm quite the fan of the Soulsborne series of games) THPS 1+2 (Have it on Xbox but will want it on PS5 now) PES '21
Plus with PS Plus will have the extra games like God of War, Bloodborne etc... I'm well set for next gen.

Think I'll do my usual and wait for the first price drop then decide.
Last time I got Xbox One but it hasn't had a single exclusive that touches Horizon, God of War or Last of Us quality. A pretty shit performance tbh, but MS have been buying up developers and if Elder Scrolls VI is Xbox only that decides it.

1 week to release date here in the US. I got a PS4 on release date last time without pre-ordering from Amazon. All I've done in the 7 years I've had it is play each years FIFA.
Apart from playing FIFA, what should I look at doing when I get the PS5?

Apart from playing FIFA, what should I look at doing when I get the PS5? I would definitely recommend trying something other than Fifa or else your spending good money on a console and not getting the full benefit of it (IMO). Fifa has largely stayed the same for the past god knows how many years and I imagine it will look/feel exactly the same on the PS4 as it does on the PS5. Plus, it is what it is, a football game, so pretty limited on what you can experience. I suppose it depends on what your into on what I'd recommend playing. Maybe try some pre-owned games on the PS4 (backwards compatible on PS5) to see what you'd enjoy playing before splashing out on £60 on release day games that you might not like. Horizon: Zero Dawn is a great game on PS4 and definitely gets the best from the console, especially the "Pro" version and you should be able to get that reasonably cheap now I imagine. The second in the series is due out on PS5 next year I think. All of the Uncharted games are brilliant and definitely worth a go. I think they do the first 3 in a bundle (they were originally released on PS3 but still look good) and then the 4th looks/plays superb. Same with the last of us. They have made the PS3 premaster for the PS4 and the 2nd was released not so long ago (not played it as of yet). 1st is brilliant though. There is also God of War, The Witcher 3, A ton of Assasins Creed games (new one to be released on PS5 so could be a good option), Until Dawn (Horror) RE Biohazard (Horror). All those are mainly single player story type games, but if your looking for shooters then COD is the obvious one, Battlefield, Titanfall 2 (great game), DOOM Eternal. I could go on but think there is enough recommendations there to keep you going, I think The Witcher 3 has around 70-100 hours of game play ??? .

I absolutely love that game. You have a free world (like GTA) you choose where you want to go, what you want to do.

Ghost recon wild lands is massively underrated especially with friends, so much so I’ve bought it and completed it 100% on PS4 and about 95% on Xbox . It’s sequel is a poor imitation so least said about that the better. Assassins creed odyssey is another stunning lose your self game as well.

Any of you had the mither with GAME and Yodel?
Seems people are not happy at all at possible delays.
Glad that I've done C&C at Smyths!
