The economic illiteracy of the right wing brains trust on here is genuinely hilarious! Let’s be honest though we are in unprecedented times. From the start of COVID-19 we were always going to be in for a rocky ride. Now I don’t think the govt have done a particularly great job but I don’t believe any party would do much better. With the web, media and TV everyone’s an expert and thinks they have the answer especially around Covid where you can have experts from the medical profession who have completely different views. The problem is you never look at any issues whether through rational eyes just ones filled with hate for the Tories. Some of those repeat mistakes have been a result of not learning the first time round. Some of the awarding of contracts have been immoral. Some of the economic decisions deeply damaging. Some of the scientific data corrected through having errors. Track and trace, eat out to help out, face masks, response times, lack of enforcement - even the neutral would cringe.

Never said they’d done a great job. They’ve tried to please everyone and ended up pleasing no one but as I say whoever is in charge it’d be a mess. Until we get a decent option somewhere in the middle we’ll never progress.

I'm sure many of their friends and relatives are cock a hoop with all the shiny new things they've been able to buy and they probably don't need to worry about their pensions anytime soon

Let his son take over and make his fat goalkeeper mate be Chancellor of the Exchequer?
