Where does this hostility towards him come from? "His level" at one point was completely dominating top six Premier League teams - for us. Don't you remember that just a little bit fondly? Never caused any trouble, really bought into Stoke for the time he was here and never once came across like he thought he was better than us (which, if we're being brutally frank, he was). And by all accounts he was an all-round nice bloke with the staff and fans. What was his crime that made you so bitter about him? You just don't like that he was popular? I really don't get it. I don't think there is hostility towards Bojan himself particularly - it's more towards the fan boy faction who kept talking him up when all evidence suggested (and continues to suggest) he was on his way down (for whatever reason). As with most (all) social media debates it just got polarised and anyone now calling him 'shit' or saying 'he has found his level' are really just saying to the other faction 'See - I told you he was past it' rather than specifically having a go at the player. Just my opinion like. So yeah, just not liking that he was popular then.

He did well for Stoke, comes across as a very nice, genuine, person so I wish him a happy time in Japan For those traits exactly, he will be really well received in Japan.

Can't think of a more overated player at Stoke. Nice bloke though When I read that “most overrated player “ comment in relation to Bojan and random images flash across my mind, such as: - the run from the half way line past several players to score the winner from outside the area at Tottenham, - the volleyed goals against Rochdale and I can’t remember who at the Boothen end, - the superb wrongly disallowed ‘goal’ on the turn from the edge of the area against Arsenal, that would have given us an incredible 4.0 lead, - the at times superb interplay between Bojan Arnie and Shaq during the BMX period I am a bit amazed that anyone cannot have some positive thoughts about his time at Stoke. Did he cost us a million? For “most overrated” I would say try Imbula, Berahino, Wimmer Vokes and Ince at sixty something million, for starters Feel free to add more.

Bojan on the other hand didn’t cost a lot and gave us some priceless moments of class and glimpses of the pedigree which had seen him play alongside and be congratulated by footballing royalty such as Lionel Messi. For me it was a short episode for Stoke City which came closest to conjuring up the Roy of the Rovers excitement created when Stanley Matthews came back to his home club. A brief but unique period for a club like Stoke when we at one time had five Champions League medal winners on our books and were beating top clubs such as Man City and Man United. I’m glad I didn’t miss it. Doubt I’ll ever see the likes of that again.

Awwww bless him.
And we found two managers who didn't want him playing in the Championship. I can't fathom it.

He's such a legend and it was beyond idiocy the lack of game time he was given during a horrifying period for the club. Would love to see him back. Tragically since this article, judging by Instagram it looks like he's had a pretty serious injury. Shame as he was clearly enjoying his football again.

What a lovely article to read. For him to come out and say all those things about Stoke now when he has been gone for three years means that they are genuine feelings. I would love him to come back here in some capacity and along with Shawcross I am very sad that he left without us being able to properly say goodbye. I'm glad he obviously knows how much we fans appreciated him. Thank you Bojan.

Are we still looking for a club president ? After two world renowned players who were great ambassadors for the club, city and country why not ask Bojan to become honorary president ? He’s still well respected in the game and worshiped by the fans, and it shouldn’t interfere with his latest career move to Japan, make sense.
