You’d have to think China/ Saudi leagues are starting to call for Ince now. Dunno. Is he high-profile enough? Maybe it'd have to be a loan to another Champo club - maybe our old pal Gaz Rowett cleaning some more of his mess up (while making only a modest wage contribution?) Do I remember Chopra going to India or something on a handsome wage? Maybe something similar.

Not going to be too happy, though, is he? If we go 3-5-2 for, let's say, 50% of games (although who knows and it could be a lot more or a lot less) - and he's just getting the odd cameo off the bench at the 70-minute mark in every 3rd or 4th game, not really what he'll want as a 28 yo. Would he be behind both Campbell and Brown now in a 4-3-3? Is he an option on the left in a 4-3-3 (but again it'd only be off the bench and where would Verlinden fit in 4-6 weeks when he's up to speed, and Tymon?) Is he an option as a Powell alternative behind the striker where he supposedly did well last week? Potentially not the best return for someone who you dread to think what he's earning. Who'd be in a position to pay his wages in this league though? I think Ince will be behind both Brown and Campbell for a place on the right says it all really when RW is neither their first choice positions. Or he'll play Ince on the left where he looks more effective?

Preferred options
1: cut our loses & sell Mince w/out further endangering FFP (hugely unrealistic)
2: kick the can down the road & loan him, all wages paid &, ideally, a fee (possible, we did it with Woods)
3. Put whatever we did on his weetabix the morning of the Leeds game on a regular basis and play him LW instead of JMcC (why not, & when on his game, he's by far the better player)

Maybe MON is going balls out and we'll see him as a right wing back.

Swap him for Gregory then everyone's happy.

Maybe MON is going balls out and we'll see him as a right wing back. Reading the Barnsley forum and there is one poster on there that thinks it will be the best move he makes if he tries out at wingback, but reckons the player himself sees his future as a forward.

Chopra is half Indian though and his career was followed by football fans over there thus making him a big name.

Or he'll play Ince on the left where he looks more effective? I'd be happy with that but it doesn't look like wingers are likely to be in his plan A or B as it stands.

We have a huge squad and also a lot of matches, lots midweek.
O'Neill isn't a Pulis or Wenger who dogmatically sticks to one thing 99% of the time he's a pragmatist like Macari he'll play different systems reasonably regularly
Does look like 3 CB will be what we start the season with but would expect a different system employed sooner rather than later

What can be made from Jacob Brown and the golden brown song then? my coat is being zipped up, and my tin hat is on: Jacob Brown, goes on a run Scoring goals, just like Mike Sheron on the left or the right gives them a fright Never a frown with Jacob Brown

Going to be a great signing in my humble opinion. Power and pace on the right. Nice. Welcome Jacob.

A left-back, a proper defensive midfielder, a striker who can play upfront on his own, now a winger with a bit of pace... What the fuck is going on?!

Exciting signing.
But. Not to put a downer on things.
Does he remind anybody else of Martin Carruthers 😱😱😱
