It's always been pretty obvious that post lockdown drinking was going to be like new years eve magnified by ten, proper full on amateur fest.
Not worth bothering until autumn and the fuss dies down.

Don’t forget though, it’s their right to do that and they would be moaning their bag off if you stopped them because they are only enjoying themselves and what’s the harm?. Ironically, i suspect many of them will be at the front of the queue in criticising the response so far.

What seems interesting about all of this is I expect these punters have been carefully dodging folk all day long in Sainsburys, Aldi and the like. Carefully wearing their face mask, applying sanitizer and making sure they've kept a good 2m away. Now add beer and some excitement...you see a pub full to the gunnels do you: a- stay well clear, looks like a Covid party in there. or b- what the hell, join the fun and party hard.
shame that some poor fucker's parents are probably going to cop it as a result.

For me this is where the government have failed... Placing there confidence in the public and whilst on the whole most folk have been bang on... Some haven't and its these few that don't give a fookin Toss that will always potentially cause the huge problems. me and my better half have been out drinking a few times now, black lion consal, windmill werrington and a few bars round Manchester and we have treated every visit the same ie we are still amongst a world wide pandemic unfortunately a small minority don't do the same which is where the problems arise because they think they are immune but in actual fact they do more damage by spreading the disease!

I’m tired of those morons that took the time to attend last weekend and also give exclusives to the media playing the victim, yes the land lords have questions to answer but my days the public that attended have a virus on there hands

I think it's where they've 'succeeded'. Keep the public blaming one another and it takes them, the government, out of the firing line

There really are such a lot of gormless idiots about nowadays. Can't blame the Government when fools like this think they are untouchable by a killer virus.

The majority of my work involves being in people’s houses fitting kitchens, internal doors etc etc.

Then take into account site toilets, canteens, meeting rooms, induction rooms, site office. 12 hours a day, not many people go the pub all day. Just the lucky few. The construction industry should have seen many of these so called spikes? Shirley.

I met a nurse from wolstanton in that very same crown and anchor pub many years ago, she was wearing white jeans and had a fabulous arse. I caught a virus* from her, but it pre-dated covid, and was quickly sorted with a dose of antibiotics. * it was known as "runny dick" in those days...

I have seen foxes there. Mainly dogs, haven’t seen a fox there for years😏 My parents lived on Cummins Street for years. My brother lives there now. The foxes used to walk through the grassy area at the end of the street, furthest from Hartshill Bank. I saw them a few times. Probably been bbqd by Pikeys or Vale fans by now.
