Signing next week - heard it first. Do you think there is a possibility that we may try to push the Salif deal through, given our distinct lack of options in the middle? The only alternative is moving Lawro inside - however, I doubt that TP would be prepared to do this given that he is currently excelling on the right.

I'd like to see Lawrence get a chance in the centre - but not until we have a quality replacement on the wing. I'd have thought it would be more likely that Pugh would be moved to centre midfield for Sunday as he can be replaced with Dicko.
Don't know if TP will see things that way though.

Firstly we need to sort out a deal with his new agent after Salif stupidly signed with him. The agent either budges or we fork out £250,000 to pay the agent for just signing Salif.

'Desperate times, need desperate measures'
.....and lets face it, signing Diao in order to play in the none too distant future would be a desperate measure given his lack of matches. I just hope that by January, he's somewhere close to the level of fitness required. The whole process has taken to long, and I wish we'd of taken the initiative....'Take it or leave it, Salif'.....instead we're still left chasing him, 4 months on.
