Think its time you took yourself outside and had long chat with yourself. Your posts are becoming boring and monotonous. You aren't some oracle on football like you lord yourself to be, you have an opinion that's it but a lot of the time its just an agenda against what or whom you don't like. Give everyone a rest will ya If anyone believes the agenda shit then I despair I really do. It’s complete horseshit. And just an easy way of people stopping discussing things. My one agenda is Stoke City winning games and the best way I think that needs to happen. I’ve said Davies has done ok. How does that fit an agenda?? 🤦♂️😂 You are not discussing though you are just battering people over the head with your opinion, you are doing people's head in just give it a rest

If fifty people want to post on this thread giving their opinions that's fine - everyone is entitled to have their say. But if you feel you have to disagree with each one for mostly the same reasons as you disagree with the other 49, making the same point 50 times over is a bit over the top don't you think? You are wasting your time making the same point over and over again and 50 people are wasting their time if they read all 50 of your almost identical posts.

There's only one thing that's more tenacious and persistent on this messageboard than bayern, and that's the constant conveyor belt of posters vying for his attention, getting personal, finding fault in everything he posts and perpetuating a chain of incessant petty complaining and bickering. It's probably the most tedious element of this board over the last ten-odd years.
bayern will *always* engage. You have a choice. Don't reply to bayern and he won't reply to you. I don't know how people struggle so much with this.

It's just funny how the same person who makes these nutty statements is the one who doesn't even watch the games That’s just bollocks. And anyone who thinks the Brentford one was a fluke needs to give their head a wobble. Well that's most of the people at Griffin Park that day.It was a bloody cross shot that caught every fucker out.Davies could have done better for sure but it's not a glaring, embarrassing error. When watching the highlights the commentator remarked that only the Brentford player would know if he meant it or not.I think you should be wobbling your own head.

Bayern, I think that everyone would agree that we would like to see better players in all positions as we all want the best for the club. However, what people also need to appreciate is that we've essentially tied ourselves in knots with FFP since being relegated so a compromise has to be made on quality compared to cost. The club is clearly going through a period of transition at the moment and the incoming players this season seem to suggest that we're having to operate in this way until we shift some of the high earners again.
In an ideal world we would have millions to spend and could look to strengthen every department but this is clearly not possible. MON is in a position where he has to work with what he's got so constantly moaning about players whilst wishing for better when we can't afford it isn't going to get anyone anywhere. People would have a lot more time for your posts if you gave credit where it's due and in the case of Davies, him doing 'OK' is fine for where we find ourselves at the moment. The statistics show we've tightened up at the back and he's made one error leading to a goal since his inclusion in the team. He's not Banks but if he was he wouldn't be here or at any other Championship team either.
Being a Stoke fan these last few years has been frustrating but hopefully under MON there's been signs of improvement. In my opinion it will take at least another 3 transfer windows to ship out the rubbish and free ourselves of the mess we've put ourselves in. In the meantime why not try and be a little bit more pragmatic about the situation and try and find some small measure of enjoyment in following Stoke City?

I get loads of enjoyment from it. I’ve gave him credit, do people want blood? He’s been nothing more than ok and I’m not going to say anything else because some internet weirdos have an issue with that. I don’t give a shit that anyone thinks he’s been more than ok, that’s cool, I happen to disagree. Who really fucking cares? And that’s the bit I find odd. Why do you or anyone else give a shit that I merely think he’s done ok? It’s odd. Anyway we are in transition but we’re clearly after a keeper so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to get an improvement and I don’t think it’s hard to either.

You said you never wanted to see him in a Stoke shirt again mate. That's a bit of an overreaction to a player that you think has done ok for us, even if you do think we could do better.
I'll also take issue with you calling MON a coward regarding his management of youth players. With the exception of Campbell they haven't affected games enough when given a chance and shouldn't expect to just be given a start. I agree with you that they should have been loaned out over the last couple of years to gain more experience, but again, this has to be judged in the context of where our club is/was and that we needed to loan higher earners out to balance the books. Retaining some of the youngsters was seemingly a necessity to keep enough bodies at the training ground. Hopefully they are either loaned this year or get given more opportunities to play for us this season as they seem to have a fair amount of potential, but calling MON a coward was way OTT considering he's given some of them starts.

Why would anyone want to see the number 2 keeper play for us? 😂 And re stats about making the defence better, the stats back Chester up but we all know (bar those who daren’t say anything bad) that he has been a clusterfuck. Now I’m not saying Davies has but it doesn’t tell the full picture. Loony is spot on when he says people are judging him solely on him not being Butland. Which imo isn’t right. He’s been a massive coward with how he’s treated them and spoke about them. Collins at Leeds, Sorensen a few times in lockdown, Edwards against Reading. All subbed way too soon and the sub either changed nothing or made us worse but people wade in anyway. Collins should be starting he regularly now and it’s a farce that he isn’t. But hey we’ve got James Chester😂👍

You've got to give him a chance to prove himself and so far he's acquitted himself well enough to retain the shirt. If he was throwing in goals left, right and centre then I would understand wanting him to be replaced, but so far he's proven himself capable enough at this level. I don't doubt there are better keepers than Davies, but if a keeper is conceding 0.5 goals a game then he's doing well. Comparing that to the 1.6 that Butland averaged last year is only natural as he succeeded him and the stats improved significantly.
I happen to agree with you about Collins, I'd have played him more last season but I can also understand why a manager would opt for a more experienced player in a relegation scrap. For me, this year is a huge opportunity for him to stake a claim as a starter in a similar way that Shawcross did in his first year with us.
Edwards had a pretty poor year in my opinion. Couple this with questions about his professionalism last year and I can understand why Smith took his place.
Sorenson seems ok but if you're looking for a balanced midfield I can understand why MON opted for others. The Cousins, Clucas and Powell trio offers a bit of everything (despite Cousins being limited) so I'm not sure whose place he should have taken. I agree that he's probably on a par with Thompson though and given he's younger he needs minutes either here or elsewhere.
Hopefully they get more game time this year and make an impact as it would be great to have a core of players come through the academy into the first team.

Sorensen was old and getting past it, Bego a young up and comer. Davies just isn't. He should be no more than a number unless he seriously ups it imo. I just don't see a number 1 there. I never wanted Butland to play really and I would have loved for that to have not happened! He's done ok yeah and like I said, I'm not unhappy with it but I think the whole back 6 needs replacing one way or another. We have Fox and Mikel so 4 more to go imo. I don't trust the ones that finished season. Davies is the one however, I trust more than the rest. Re experience players, they're the ones that got us into the mess, it's an argument I just can't compute tbh. This team is crying out for qualities that younger players should bring. And again, I hope we sign some that can if we're not going to use the ones we have. Edwards was poor but the Reading treatment was shocking imo and the sub changed naff all. Indeed Smith has been making the same mistakes all season but not got the same treatment. Sorensen, I agree. But it was more a comparison with Thompson and there's very little difference bar the 3 years and hoardes more experience that doesn't seemed to have helped the latter! Again it's more the situation with hooking him where Thompson was having a shitter and nothing happened etc and in lockdown Thompson was our worst player but seemed to play more. I can't stand stuff like that. And then you look at the game today and the football played and I just can't imagine MON's best XI playing like that. And I know it's a friendly etc but that is the football I want to watch. I want to see a CB bringing the ball out, I want to see central midfielders comfortable with the ball at their feet, wingers running at their man, little movements etc. The Linfield game, similarly got my hopes up. We have good footballers, I just wish he'd trust them and sort the defence out

I do think we need experience in the goalie department though. This team needs an Ed de Goey/Sorensen type figure in nets. Someone like Tim Krul would be perfect. He’s a horrible bastard on the pitch too - something we’re also lacking.

The more clean sheets we have, the more Bayern pisses and moans about the defence. It really is quite remarkable.
