I could do with getting the air con on my car re-gassed before we have another warm day.
There are loads of people doing it and I'm wondering how much is a fair price (assuming that nothing is broken on my 10 year old car) and does anyone have a recommendation?

Try Groupon, price looks reasonable 38/40 pound, ATS Euromaster advertising at £38.99

I’ve taken different cars for a re gas on about four occasions. Each time there has been something wrong which meant it stopped working after a couple of days.I therefore ended up paying for a re gas which led to a repair which led to another re gas. If possible you may wish to explore options around a check of the system first if possible, especially with the chain type garages who do similar by offering a free wheel alignment check only to almost always find an issue and then charge a load for adjustment. Basically, find a garage you trust.

When I've been to ATS in Congleton in the past they've always done a pressure test on the system before doing the re-gas. On my last car they found a leak and advised me to get that fixed before anything else - no charge.

HalfordsFree check initially at Halfords then £50 for the re-gas. They also sell kits to DIY if you're feeling adventurous.
