On Saturday evening I felt mentally and physically abused. I had requested the stream and was looking forward to a good result! Now I can cope with the under performance and adjust mentally to cope with the game against Wigan. I can even forgive the team for their dreadful display against a robust and physical Middlesboro. We still have our future to play for. I will be ready to hope that we can get something from the game on Tuesday. What I can not cope with is facing the crass and awful commentaries from Radio Stoke on the stream. What ever happens this season please get rid of these awful amateurs next season!

I agree about the commentary but in fairness, they are doing a radio commentary which is different to TV. On the stream we can SEE what is happening so don't need telling - listeners can't. I agree that some of the "punditry" borders on the inane. Not sure what the answer is unless we have different commentaries.

I tune into 5 live or similar and press mute on the stream.

I can understand the difference between radio and TV but some of the mistakes have been amateurish. The two that immediately spring to mind were muddling the 2 goalies on the pitch at Reading - perhaps it was wishful thinking or the fact that most of Stoke's passes go back towards Jack instead of forwards? Then on Saturday seeing number 26 held up for substitution saying he was surprised Powell was being taken off-perhaps that would have been a better substitution given what happened later.

I honestly don't understand why they have Nigel Johnson bumbling along watching a stream 2 minutes behind, so they have to keep cutting him off
He takes so long to get to the point he never finishes off what he was trying to say - he probs gets away with it live as he is in control of the mic but its not working in this scenario!
I like listening to Lawrence but same issue, he does manage to get his point across quicker
Its a shame they cant offer a crowd noise only option lol and no commentary
(I appreciate Nige is a local treasure, I have thought for many years he should hang up the mic!)

I quite enjoy it to be honest.

I thought the Reading commentary was better than the M'boro one. On Saturday it was pathetic. The commentator spent more time talking abstract stuff than telling us what was happening. Thank goodness for Spinks. I'm a great fan of both Liam and Nige but it just doesn't work when they're not at the game. They should use Spinksy as the 'extra' and drop the home visit to Liam and Nige. They should also use a commentator who can at least tell us who has the ball and who's doing what with it.
OS.

It’s a shame there is such a lag on the feed to Our Nige. Makes him even less relevant. Commentary is always different to audio description. After all, we don’t want to be back to square one do we I actually like it. It’s quite comforting in some ways.

I tune into 5 live or similar and press mute on the stream. That's fine as long as they're more or less in sync. In my experience they're as much as a minute apart!

The biggest thing in the Reading game was Lee Blakeman saying “in accordance with 2m social distancing laws” every 2 minutes.
But then again that’s how bad our defence is.

They're working under difficult circumstances. Everyone makes mistakes and those mentioned (such as Powell actually not being substituted) didn't bother me. Perhaps there are reasons why Liam Lawrence and Nigel Johnson can't be at the stadium. I'm thankful to have the commentary.

I'm glad I'm not the only who thinks it's been absolutely woeful. You simply cannot put radio comms on a tv stream, it just doesn't work. The scores they announce are always wrong, they keep making gaffs about the empty stadium, we're aware of why we're really not stupid. Needs binning off and replaced with either somebody commentating over the actual TV stream and not for radio purposes, or just simply crowd noise alone.

Why is commentary necessary??
I don't see the point of it. I've never understand why anyone watching a game would need it?
You don't need it when your at the game so why would you need it if you're watching on a screen?
If its bad turn the volume off?...just a suggestion!

Lawrence is not bad until he romanticises Pulis - he even reeled out the careful what you wish for for us and Boro for daring to get rid of the only manager who made him relevant
The biggest reason why Boro are where they are is because TP saddled them with aging, high earners with no resale

Before they started using the Radio Stoke commentary the bloke doing it before was woeful IMO. Its always a bit behind the visuals but I really don't mind it. Quite often its nice to have people agreeing with how woeful the team are on the commentary.

You only had to listen to useless Nige post match who answered questions like he was still commentating🙄Absolutely useless and no knowledgeable comments about the game

Having commentary that is behind the actual state of play is just ridiculous, that alone can make it un-listenable. Yet it's not even the worst part. Endless mis-information given, spouting utter rubbish constantly.

Pulis got Boro to 7th place last season which was a miracle. They had to sell all their best players over the last 18 months because of FFP. Traore £17m Braithwaite £10m Bamford £8m Gibson £15m To name a few with little investment back in the team. How is that down to Pulis?

Just be thankful the fail & Crewho arn't playing, as we would be getting endless updates about that during the match! ....... typical Stoke, taking the cheap option of overdubbing ...... is there a single other club in the championship who does the same?

Boro Chairman - "Jonathan is not the problem" "He is the figurehead of the club and has had to take a lot of criticism for problems which he inherited" "I can assure fans we are working very hard as a club to deal with those problems" Gibson actually said: “He (Woodgate) is dedicated to this football club and has a vision for a style and approach that we all endorse.” And more from a Boro fan who works at the Sentinel - from last week We had a lot of ageing players on big wages, who Woodgate couldn’t get rid of, but didn’t really want to rely on. Woodgate was also given no money in the summer. Understandable after the excesses of previous managers, but when your only signings are a back-up goalkeeper from the Swiss Leagues and a right-back from League One, it’s not exactly the tools to revolutionise a team.
