League One in normal circumstances would've been a disaster, but at least we could've been guaranteed a decent amount of season ticket holders off the back of Michael O'Neill's record when the early bird season tickets went on sale.
If we're in League One when things return to normal, we'll be lucky to get 10,000 turning up.

I still don’t think it will happen, having slept on yesterday’s game we weren’t all that bad but they took their chances and we didn’t.
We still only really need 2 wins and 2 draws and it should be enough. Huge week is this week, 2 wins and we can relax a bit, 2 losses or low points and we are then having to go to places like Leeds to scrape points

I think with the run of fixtures we have, and the performances we have put in the last two games, there's every chance relegation could happen. Don't kid yourselves, we are in the shit.

A bare minimum I'd say is 4 points this week. Birmingham might not be a bad fixture to have but the run in is difficult.

I can't actually remember the last time we beat them.

Two points wouldn't be a disaster, but we'd then have to make sure we got the full six from Birmingham and Bristol City who're basically on the beach. The only other saving grace could be Brentford and Forest being out of the automatic promotion race and saving themselves for the play offs, but that's probably clutching at straws. If we're in a position where we need a result in either or both of those games then we're probably doomed.

The matches are simply too unpredictable to assess, the form book goes out of the window, in reality all our remaining matches are winnable. Wigan though on a decent run, are still only Wigan!!!. We need to grow a pair, start showing some fight and think positively, after all there are still 21 points to play for.

We're not showing anything though to suggest that we can upset the odds or the form book. We're predictably laboured, our finishing is as abysmal as it's been for most of the season, we're conceding ridiculously poor goals and the players you'd hope would step things up for us have failed miserably so far. And more worryingly, the manager seems to have taken leave of his senses.

I was supremely confident of staying up 'til yesterday, and have been since MON arrived. Now the prospect, all of a sudden, is frighteningly real and makes me feel a bit sick. Seeing how it unfolded was like flicking a switch - I went from completely unperturbed to shitting myself. It really is nightmarish down there - nothing good about it at all. What are the FFP rules in that league mate? I can't seem to find anything about them at all. Also, with the alleged wage cap, that would need some serious squad churn as the last thing we need in that shithouse league is a bunch of players with the hump because they've been forced to take a 90% hit on their wages. These tossers have the hump even when they’re on 100% of their massive pay packets. If they had to take a huge pay cut their performance level couldn’t possibly get any worse anyway, so bring it on I say. It might even make it easier to shift some of them?

Can I do a chargeback on next year's season ticket - definition appears to be :
'Chargeback can be used in cases of goods not arriving at all, goods that are damaged, goods that are different from the description, or where the merchant has ceased trading.
Stoke pretty well fit most categories.

It's like there's some kind of James Herbert style fog hanging over ST4 that soaks into the pores of anyone who walks into the club these days and turns them to shit.
Rowett and Jones are both capable of getting good results managing other clubs (before and after Stoke), Hogan and Afobe moved on and suddenly knew where the net was, Butland's decline has been faster than a bloke on a tea tray going down Everest and even MON seems to be unravelling.
Christ, even Connor Wickham's banging them in for Sheff Weds. He'd have probably been another punchline here.

I certainly do not want to be there but watching a good game can be entertaining at many levels. The worst part about being in L1 is the continual pisstaking from your mates. My local pub has got the lot - loads of new Wolves lads, plassy Mancs, false scousers, Cardiff and even a Boro fan (Thank God the pubs are shut)

Don't think they have FFP as the same with the prem and championship it's called SCMP.
Clubs in the League 1 and League 2 operate within a Spending Constraint framework termed Salary Cost Management Protocol (SMCP). SCMP limits spending on player wages to a percentage of club Turnover. In League 1 clubs can spend a maximum of 60% of their turnover on wages - in League 2, the limit is 55%. There are no restrictions (in themselves) on the amount a club can lose or spend on transfer fees.

Would be an absolute disaster for the Club obviously for so many reasons. But has anyone taken a close look at where we'd be travelling to ? Lincoln...Accrington and Rochdale to name a few. Even if we were doing well in League one would these really excite you and encourage you to travel away even if you could get a ticket due to small ground capacities and low allocations? Before I get slated I've followed Stoke City home and away for 40 years so i ain't a glory hunter who is missing the PL. Lincoln, lovely place, Sunderland, weekend in Newcastle. Fleetwood/Blackpool....not been blackpool on lash for while....

Well we celebrated as we went down to Division 3 in 1989 then the following season we finished in 14th with Alan Ball being a disaster. What came after that with Lou Macari was superb but with the money about can you see another Mark Stein for £100k on £300 per week coming in from Oxford Reserves bringing us back up.
We need to avoid relegation then get rid of the players that are not strong enough and rebuild with a good sprinkling Of youth but the money won’t be there to get the kind of quality we need in this team so built upon old school stoke players with leadership and determination maybe but I’m scared out club will end up like pre Gudjon Thordarson getting thrashed 4-1 to Bristol Rovers in front of less than 9000 fans if we go down and struggle

Some proper grounds in that league. Would be about the only positive of going down, it’s been a while since I’ve stood on a terrace. Ninian Park in the promotion season to be precise. Hahahahhaa

I was hardly up for the Reading game, we're safe, not too much to play for. Since Saturday I've felt sick about tomorrow, and I can't see us getting anything. Then it's a nailed on 3 vs Barnsley, surely.......
