Weird how they associate Allardyce and long ball with Bolton but not themselves Clueless Allardyce Says Strength Will Keep Stoke In Premiership! By Nu Mad Tuesday, 10th June 2008 Long ball connoisseur Sam Allardyce says Stoke City have got what it takes to stay in the Premiership ... physical strength. Which just about sums up the former Toon boss. Allardyce claims he is confident that Stoke City can stay in the Premier League next season because of their physical attributes, but isn't that all the ex-Bolton boss knows about? The Potters got a 0-0 draw at the Britannia Stadium in the FA Cup third round against Newcastle when Big Sam was boss. And Mike Ashley was so impressed by Big Sam's tactics that day (and the previous 20 games) that he sacked him! The Premiership is the best league in world football ... and let's see Stoke try and kick their way to success. It's going to end in tears!

I'm still kind of confused by Newcastle fans total hysteria over Kevin Kegan's return. Despite having some quality players in his previous Newcastle team they didn't win a trophy and failed to win the league when they were in a strong position ???
