All that you need to do nowadays is to find that the "show" has somehow offended public decency, or infringed upon sensitive issues, such as the so called "Black lives matter" campaign and just get the production closed down abruptly.
Look at what happened to Danny Baker.

Similar, as quickly as possible, a deranged Luis Suarez goes in and chews everybody through the arteries in the neck

They all go to an enclosed community in Spain in search of a much needed holiday and are never heard of again. That might have been tried before (Eldorado) and worked a treat.

The entire casts of Deadenders v Aggravation Street v Dumberdale - three-way elimination-only-by-death match. The winner to be ceremonially beheaded on the former set of Crossroads.
Would make great tv.

People do leave long running productions for perfectly legitimate reasons. I remember that the Wheel Chair bound character of Sandy in CrossRoads, left the soap because he was "tired of being pushed around."

The Eastenders crew meet the Emmerdale firm for a big tear up outside Eric Pollard's house. This is played out to a stripped back, slowed down version of I Wanna Be Adored with the words sung by a woman with a depressing voice, and culminates in Danny Dyer getting a watermelon shoved up his arse by Sam Dingle. As for Corrie, I'd get David Lynch to direct the last few episodes, which end with Roy Cropper becoming increasingly unhinged as he roams a bleak industrial wasteland in his pyjamas.

I have just read the last book in the Wallander series.
How is it going to end I wondered ?
Quite well done really. He kept having memory losses and then in the last page he disappeared into his own world with Altsheimers
A sad ending to a good book, and series of detective story’s. No coming back.
EDIT. Apologies to any one who has not read the book, but would like to.🤔⚓️

A lethal virus emerges from a wet market in China, makes its way into Walford thanks to a bunch of yuppies returning from a skiing holiday in Italy then lockdown and shutdown.
No one would believe it though.

I used to have a wonderful friend who appeared on 'Crossroads' several times --- he said you always had to be so careful when you exited the set because outside the 'front entrance', where you went out, all around the edge of the stage area there was only about a three-foot width of stage before you fell down a six-foot drop! Apparently they did everything on the cheap and didn't believe in providing anything that wasn't essential, eg. a floor...

This is what annoys me about Netflix, they stopped so many good shows..
Homeland Santa Clarita Diet Ray Donovan Designated Survivor Shitts Creek could have gone on too, but i think that was down to the creators rather than NF.

For the older viewers among you that remember “Who shot JR?”
I (played by me) would walk out of shower, gaze, slowly over at a scantily clad Kate Beckinsale and say:
”I had the strangest dream”

Read the earlier post and thought... Hmm I'll try that maybe Then read the one after and thought.. Nah, no point now Not even joking. It is a actually a very good detective story and worth a read. Knowing what happens to him at the end does not detract from the mystery. The front cover and introduction tells you that it is the last in the series. The observation was how the author did it and has no real effect on the intrigue of the novel.

Netflix are only responsible for Netflix orginal shows. For example, it wasn't their decision to cancel Homeland.
