So where does that leave Woodgate, I wonder? He is a former Stoke player, so it's legal to wonder here. Pulis employed him at Boro, which is also his hometown club so that was ideal. He might have hoped for Pulis to rescue him again, but as TP is unemployed himself, that is not an option. Among his other former clubs, Real Madrid, Spurs, Leeds, and ourselves don't look likely to have a vacancy right now, and I'm thinking in terms of coaching. He never got the manager's job at Boro but was head coach. I don't know what the situation might be with Newcastle. Sacked by Boro for relegation form Your next England manager ?

Typical Stoke! I’d love to know how many times this has happened ie. new manager appointment and first game is Stoke. And wins said game usually. I don't have any data but I'm going to hazard a guess that it's no more than any other team. And every other team's fans thinks it always happens to them too.

You never know, Southgate struggled at Boro as I recall, had to get Venables in to help him.

There is a BBC interview of him at Mbro on You Tube.
Coming out with the normal platitudes.
I would have been happier if they had waited till next week 😳

This has gone from a dead cert 3 points to anything can happen.
Our players need to be up for it, unlike last weekend. Need some more mettle in midfield without Joe Allens workrate.

Shame, I would have backed us to batter these if Woodgate had stayed. Now, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Warnock did a number on us.

What a frustrating season. Almost everything goes wrong. Couldn't they wait just one week!

I ll take a point now - we never/rarely got a 'bounce' with new manager, why should they? - although Warnock is Pulis in disguise!

I resly fancied us to beat Blackburn, by at least a couple of goals.
But now I get this feeling Colin could get one over us this Sat.

We'll win this game at a canter.
Negativity is mind blowing.

We will lose this game middesbrough 2-0 they will defend deep 10 men behind the ball & hit us on the break. Crafty manager Warnock & we do not have the players for a scrap. Hope i am wrong & he has not had time to drill them in the finer arts of cheating & game spoiling which goes hand in hand with Warnock.

He's as likely to confuse them as inspire them, he's only just got there. Focus on what we can do.

I hope it won’t be that bad, but I know where you are coming from. Our players are by and large gutless and despite Oneil’s excellent efforts, they don’t seem to be able to ditch this slow, lumbering, couldn’t be arsed approach consistently. Boro will be right up for it with Colin and I’d be happy to avoid defeat.

Probably thick, but what's a BP average? Biased prick average? That would explain Mike Dean being top of the list.

Probably thick, but what's a BP average? Their average booking points. 10 for a yellow, 25 for a straight red, 35 for two yellows and a red. So basically going off of the ref, good chance of a red card tomorrow should it get a bit tasty.

Their defence was a shower of shit on Saturday, it looked like they didn't even know each other names. I thought old Colin had retired, so much for that. He might have his work cut out here, come on Stoke we can beat these. Have you forgot how bad our lot were Saturday ? Granted. Shouldn’t play that bad again ! Wanna bet!😜
