He’s exactly where his performances say he should be. Unfortunately we will be stuck with paying his wages and getting nothing of value out of him- so nothing has changed.

(don't suppose it will rise, to be fair because can't think of any targets he has hit) Would think we were resigned to loans with 50% wage contributions, so got to think we would snap someone's hand off at £3-4m? In the circumstances, maybe WBA would chance their arm with a loan though - but at least they could pay his wages?

He will still have a good reputation in the game and I would imagine just been seen as another that can be saved from us and the malaise we seem to induce.

Yeah, we've sold plenty of players who fall into the same category recently, so why not.

Yeah, we've sold plenty of players who fall into the same category recently, so why not. Laziness from the CEO shouldn't be associated with that. Etebo and Woods both have got better moves and you'd hope that with someone competent in charge, we would have actually sold them. Maybe this new transfer bloke is pulling his weight already?

Wether you rate him or not he’s worth £8m of anybody’s money mate If Brentford or similar had him that’s what they’d be asking, ( not you personally Paul ) but why do we constantly undersell players on here

He isn't a bad player and I could see him doing well at this level for someone, but he's going to be perceived as damaged goods given his poor form.

These days our bellies are so close to the ground I'm surprised we're not offering cash prizes for clubs to loan players.

Doubt it will happen, if it does it will almost certainly be a loan. But if West Brom or Celtic are able to pay his full wage it definitely reduces the chances of selling Campbell.

The buyer would hold the cards in this situation, as they could almost smell our desperation to get rid of a player we aren't using and who's earning £1.5m-a-year. £3-4m would be a bit of a lottery win in the circumstances.
Loan to a cash-strapped club (which is every non-Prem club)paying a proportion of his wages is still sadly the favourite. This West Brom thing feels a bit too wacky to be true.

And there could be more than one interested party. The opposite is true here. We're desperate to get rid. We're paying him 30k-a-week to train.

One of Wycombe's reserves, say, or one of the million players not getting in Forest's squad these days? Football has changed since the 'dog's home' days, but not that much. Just as we were able to get players like Higgy, Liam etc fairly cheap because they weren't doing it for rival teams in our league, does the same principle not apply here?

Max Lowe and Jayden Bogle went for 3.5M each from Derby to the PL. Harrison Reed for 6M and he was in a successful side.
Is 3 or 4M that low for a player who has pretty much kicked the tyres for 2 and a bit years and is on his way down anyway?
I'd say we rip Bilic's hand off before he changes his mind and get another high earner well away from this club as possible.
Remember, don't kick a gift pig in the...

It's bitter experience I think. Who is the last player we sold for absolute top banana? Even Arnie was under-priced in the wider scheme of things.
Watford spent less than half of the time at the top table than we did and only finished higher than we did once, yet every one of the saleable assets seems to start at £30M plus.
We're just shit at it and have been for a long time.
