Bayern "I only want us to win" Oatcake We’ve only got worse and I’m guessing lost more than we’ve won since he signed and he’s been a massive part of that. Awful player for us.

Jordan Cousins did the same job. And he’s dogshit. Yeah ok We did. As soon as Clucas was dropped deeper in lockdown the midfield worked like it did with Allen in. It was clear that was what was needed and it worked. Allen wasn’t missed in the slightest.

An awful thick as fuck footballer whose headless chicken routine has done way more damage than good. Like I said, Jordan Cousins fillet his boots. That’s how shit he has been for us. Why anyone likes this fraud is beyond me. It is no coincidence it went to shit from his arrival.

I mean we finished on the same points as Leicester and 1 more win would have seen us finish 8th in his first season with us having played 36 out of 38 games. That stat means the phrases "awful, thick as fuck, headless chicken, shit and fraud" make you out to be a bit of a of a thick as fuck, shit, fraud.

What have Leicester got to do with anything? 😂 That season should have seen Hughes sacked. It was awful and Allen was a massive part of that. And everything since has been worse. All done with a midfield that goes AWOL. The bloke can’t hold his position and stay goalside of his man for crying out loud. As I said why anyone would defend him is beyond me. On the field along with your hero Butland, the root of our problems in the last 3 years. Both should have been sold as soon as were relegated. Both have stunk the place out.

Allen is a decent box to box midfielder in this division, we've missed his energy since he's been injured. Butland is wank and needs to move on.

We got a similar sort of results as we have with him in the side. Inconsistent, too many losses, some good wins. We didn’t miss him one bit. Nothing changed. And that was with an utterly terrible midfielder replacing him. Lockdown was damning on Joe Allen.

We were definitely more shit without Allen, especially Leeds and Wigan
We then improved tenfold without Butland
Getting Allen back and selling Butland will be big for us

I seem to remember it being a 3 month injury, its only 2 weeks away now. Gouranga. Its a 6 month recuperation from surgery. Then non impact light training. Ie cycling. Swimming. If that goes well... then he can start jogging....its never 3 months..... he only looks like jesus..... he hasnt got his recovery skills

Unfortunately it won't happen, with the injury being not so long ago and having zero playing time since I can't see anyone stumping up the cash that we'd want for him.

Spot on, its really strange that people still think we missed him even when we were getting results, even trying to say it was down to him that we were poor for the first few not down to the managers barmy tactics, what has he got on everyone that makes them think he's so good

Selling them both and getting a proper DM in would be huge, if its the only money money we spend a DM should be priority no1 now we've signed a leftback.

Like the Wigan and Leeds comment. We’ve been battered so many times with Allen in the side. Literally makes no difference.

Allen was dreadful in the premier League for us and also in the championship pre MON. Since MON he's looked a different player, largely because he was holding his place instead of being the headless chicken I'd come to expect.
If fit and he returns to the MON version pre injury we'll have a real good player on our hands, if he returns to pre-MON then get him gone asap.

Allen's first half season was very good, and he scored many goals as well! Anyway he is our best midfielder, and I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a new midfielder as Allen and Clucas will be the preferred pairing in central midfield. We first of all need another right winger and maybe a central defender. Anything else must be bargains because of FFP as I see it.

Jesus Christ lived 2000 years ago, born into a carpenter's family, never formally educated, never left his home land or went far from his birthplace, preached for 3 years, but, whether you believe he was God or not, you cannot deny he has had more influence on the human race than any other person who ever lived. Most of it a good influence, and if any of his influence was used by people for evil, it was mankind's doing not Jesus, who 100% taught love and caring. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religious_populations

I happen to think that pretty well most things are reasonable targets for humour - providing that the humour isn't itself malicious. I used to be an Agnostic but I think am now an Atheist/Humanist - but if religion (any religion) works for someone, that's fine by me. Anything that can help people cope with the stresses and strains of life has to be a good thing, providing of course that their faith does not cause them to cause harm to others. Humour is one of the things which helps me to cope with the world but I try not to cause harm to others when I deploy it.

I agree a lot with your winging posts (bit of a winger myself) however Joe Allen is the best midfielder in the club bar none. Sadly for him hes seen our demise from Prem to Championship and been under two appalling managerial appointments and played in struggling teams. If you think Cousins is any where near Allen's level you really are deluded.

If you think Cousins is any where near Allen's level you really are deluded. I’m not saying that at all and that’s missing the point. The team played exactly the same with him in as it did Allen. Surely that’s got to be a worry? Allen in that time was bought as DM, he played DM and then was trusted to play DM so was moved to play as an attacking midfielder, meaning Bojan or a striker couldn’t get a game. He’s been an issue. Trying to accommodate him has caused loads of issues.

I think MON will be the first manager to get the best out of Allen a la Wales......he just seems more tactically aware to make the players fit a system whichever he plays.
Time will tell....

We didn’t miss Allen at all.
