Keep forgetting how tight the league table was.
Relegation - it could well and truly happen!

If it is on TV can one grandparent who is not socially isolating watch it with a family of 5 in the garden at 2m whilst sanitising after every goal?

Michael O’Neill offered an encouraging injury update on Joe Allen and Thibaud Verlinden as he reflected on Stoke City’s return to training. The Potters squad returned to Clayton Wood last week to work in small groups with strict social distancing measures and following the protocol put in place by the EFL. Long-term injury victims Allen (ruptured Achilles tendon) and Verlinden (cruciate ligament) weren’t among those out on the grass but boss O’Neill is pleased with the progress they are making. Speaking exclusively to Stoke City+, O’Neill revealed: “Joe is walking, which is good. On the first day I saw him he was walking with the aid of crutches and now he’s walking without crutches. “It’s a slow process for Joe, really. It’s just getting moving again. He’s been in a boot for a long time, which means muscle wastage which builds up over time but it’s nice to see him again at the training ground. “Thibaud looks good. His knee has healed well, the scar. He’s been running on the AlterG treadmill and the next stage for him is to start running outside, which will be good for him as well. “For the long-term injuries it’s been difficult for the players. “The medical team have done a great job in maintaining that contact with those players during lockdown. They’ve had them in when it’s been feasible to do it. “And the players have clearly applied themselves well as well.”

Not a lot, both appear to be making progress but no indication of a likely return date.

Does anyone know when kick off dates and times will be confirmed? Some clubs are still arguing against the 20th aren't they? It's just dragging on and on.....

Looking good. Starting to miss the place I must admit..... I remember one quiet summer for Stoke where they made the new pitch being laid a daily updated feature on the official site! How riveting that wasn't!

‘Shrewd signing’!! Exactly the same was said about Gregory last year and look where he’s heading after less than 12 months! Different types of players though aren't they? Gregory has always been a bits and pieces grafter who was brought in originally to do the leg work for Powell and A N Other in the diamond, with goals coming second. At the end of the day it's all about opinions and my opinion is that Taylor would be a shrewd signing for free. A lot of fans are going to be disappointed with our business going forward and frankly, they need to sit down and get used to the fact we are no longer able to shop at Waitrose and look at what we are able to do and how best to get the most out of what we can spend. FFP and the Rowett spend has crippled us and the spectre of a wage cap post coronavirus that has been mooted will knock us down further. We have young players in and around the side in Oakley-Boothe, Thompson, Edwards, Verlinden, Collins and Campbell and it is a wise move to surround them with the right quality and profile of experienced player along with boosting the ranks with younger players as we go. For all we know though, this could be paper talk and the wrist wringing will be for nothing. If not and it is true do you trust our manager to bring in the right kind of players? No manager gets every signing right but if he gets more right than wrong he's stole a march on a number of our previous managers hasn't he? The first three that he's signed have a hit rate of two hit and one miss for me. Carry that on and he'll do just fine. Spot on with all of that, especially fans expectations on who we are going to be signing at least until we get out of this league. I as many others do trust MON on who he decides to bring in.
