Makes a refreshing change to see someone not apologise to a baying media. I salute the guy. The fact that they hate him so much makes me like him. Very entertaining to see people lose their minds.

And it wouldn't work because... He's a liar, it's been proven, you know it, I know it, the whole country knows it, if you're comfortable with an individual as obviously odious and lacking in any moral compass as he is then you crack on, each to his own etc. You keep saying he is a liar yet you haven't offered any proof, you say he is odious you've met him have you ? You say he is lacking in moral compass and yet you my little tinfoil wearing friend are the one who seems to want to decide how and where he looks after his family and demand proof his child went to hospital. Let's be absolutely clear here - you are in absolutely no position at all to question the strength of evidence in other posters' arguments. All you ever do is regurgitate partisan spin and outright lies about any politician who doesn't toe the Tory line. Everything you say in this post could equally be applied to pretty much every post you've ever made about Jeremy Corbyn.

There's an old adage about "my enemy's enemy is not my friend" or words to that effect but I fear you're too far gone to take heed. You're sleepwalking into the abyss with this kind of thinking mate.

Of course it could, a better example of a poster with absolute double standards you couldn't find. It's just petty political tribalism at work once again. He simply can't abide criticism of his beloved Tories, direct or otherwise, never has been able to, and will say anything to try to minimise it or deflect away from it, usually shifting the goalposts significantly along the way. Someone should tell him he won't get an OBE for stuffing his head as far up the Tory arsehole as he can on an insignificant football forum...he might loosen up a bit.

I'm not the one cowering in fear. In fact I'm out where I like, when I like, as often as I want, meeting whoever I want. Because I don't believe the information I'm being told.

No, I think as a role model and a prominent figure in the lockdown rule-making process, he should be fined and told to resign. He has undermined the government message and endangered lives with his actions. I'm not bothered if he went twice or not. His first trip was illegal, immoral and he shows no contrition, care or remorse. Where he went twice or not, he's made a huge error that has put public health in danger because he believes himself to be above the laws he created. I'm not sure how the herd immunity bits are relevant, that's pretty much his word against the media's. Yes his word against the media in the same way it was on the false claims of more trips, police investigations, police visits, you don't think its relevant ? On here you get a mild bit of ribbing / piss taking over some things your dad has said in the past now multiply that by 20m+ people believing you have said who cares if a few old people die. It wasn't illegal, there's a clear exception in the rules if you want to argue some people didn't know about that I can remember sky news asking a question and it being answered but then was of course when the media were arguing no one could understand the rules, yet now its crystal clear apparently. It was illegal, he broke the rules incredibly obviously and admitted to even more rule breaking than originally reported. He went back to work the day after his wife was ill with symptoms. He drove whilst not sure of his eyesight. He drove to Durham when we were told explicitly to stay indoors. He drove to a beauty spot on his wife's birthday when we were told explicitly we should not be leaving home for any reason other than food and medicine. He broke the rules. 'Stay at home, Protect the NHS, save lives'. Not 'Stay at home unless you have a place in Durham and some teenage niece you want to endanger'.

It takes manipulation of facts for good people to surrender their most basic freedoms. Do people not even question why the bloke who brought us this lockdown with his SIMS computer game does not consider it a threat? But the media want to go after Cummings instead of the bloke that has destroyed the economy and millions of lives, removed liberties, and left millions with critical illnesses untreated. You have been fooled. But, apparently, I'm the nutcase for applying some critical thinking.

You say illegal than talk about rules, even to accept your false claim that he broke the rules does not equal breaking the law, point to the law he broke and explain why the police have not charged him then. And even the rules you claim to understand you are not understanding or giving the slogan because otherwise you just criminalised all the people who work in the nhs, police, tesco etc nevermind split families who are allowed to transfer kids, they are plenty more exceptions.

There was a good argument for a short sharp lockdown to cut the transmission rates but 10 weeks into a 3 week lockdown and people dont seem to realise the shitstorm they will soon face and say nothing despite the very same people losing their shit over an extra few days break for parliament last year.....

I remember the last time you applied some critical thinking - it was to bang on and on about a paedophile ring at the heart of the Establishment. You don't seem to mention that so much any more. Possibly since the main protagonist Carl Beech got banged up for 18 years for making it all up. Quick question, since you consider all of us to have been fooled...what's the purpose of the Elite temporarily ruining the global economy for a few years?

Why do you consider Carl Beech as the main protagonist? The case may run far deeper than him and using this nutter as an example discredited the whole enquiry and shut it down. The idea that a crashed economy doesn't benefit anyone also isn't true. But ultimately it won't be me and you. And as for all of this draconian control and micro-managing of our lives by the state, where to begin?

I've already given my stance on Cummingsgate on the Covid thread. You know what I kind of object to people telling me my stance is based on political tribalism, if something is wrong I have said it in the past when it has been about racist grandpa and Dianne. But lets play your game if you are gifting the power to decide on what is best for your child as in this case then I presume you want any child, teacher etc who is due to be back at school monday who doesn't turn up fined then because you know thats the rules / law no exceptions allowed now ?
