It's so easily cleared up tho, I'm surprised anyone supporting his actions wouldn't also support him proving his claims, he could easily shut a lot of his critics up by doing just that. He's a proven liar not to mention somewhat duplicitous as can be seen from the 'NHS' Leaflet scam so why should people believe him now, he needs to prove stuff he says is true first. Any idea why he kept everyone waiting half an hour? Why stop there mate I mean how do you know the kid is his, perhaps a DNA test ? How do we know they are really his parents another dna test, these neices how do we know they exist perhaps birth cerificates ? Wow

Who cares he's one of thousands if not hundreds of thousands to have been naughty and bent/ broken the rules big deal. Funny, you were on the side of very harsh justice indeed when that young Barnsley fan got his head smashed in by a policeman in February during crowd trouble. Guess it's okay for someone to break the law as long as they happen to broadly agree with your political opinions. You must've been a lovely copper. Dead fair ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/cj7bsBj2jOTuEAUVaPt5.gif) Imagine the size of his bastard pension! And he spends all his time on here baiting. Beginning to wonder if he's a Russian bot ???

Why are you wowing mate you are the crank wanting proof he had covid and wanting to know why a press briefing started late, why stop there go full tinfoil. Because, as we both know, and anyone and everyone else that can read knows, that the two things are a million miles apart and it's just you using hyperbole to deflect from the actual point. You don't think it matters to the public whether he had it or not?

Dominic Cummings must be a very slow driver. He drove 264 miles and it took the contagious. (Should I have saved this for the Friday joke thread?)

They aren't a million miles apart at all if you are questioning whether he had covid I honestly doubt there is anything he could do or say that you would believe. I mean if he said he tested postitive for covid would you believe that or would you want to see the actual letter but that could be a fake, perhaps a doctor what proof do you require exactly ?

Classic fyd strawman. Absolutely woeful deflection from the perfectly valid point that's being made perfectly clearly. Must try harder.

Whether he had a disease or not isn't a million miles from whether his son is his son or not? Right you are. Doesn't it seem odd that he hasn't had it confirmed by anyone given the apparent gravity of the situation? It's genuinely the first thing I'd do in his position as soon as I realised what a shitstorm my illness had caused I'd want people to know that I was being genuine. Particularly in light of the fact he's been caught out lying on other occasions. He'd just need to get any results verified by the BBC or some sort of independent medical body I suppose, not beyond the realms of possibility.

It was a bit though wasn't it. Like pretty significantly plastered across every single poster, leaflet, website and press conference were the words 'STAY AT HOME' in big letters. If I'd driven from London to Durham and the police saw me, unless my explanation involved serious and imminent risk of a family member, I'd have been fined. 'My niece said she'd take the kid if me and my wife get ill even though I haven't had it yet and my wife feels much better now' isn't good enough. Nor is 'I'm testing my eyesight while driving with my child in the back seat'. Anyone else would be blocked for it and Cummings should resign to avoid undermining the govt message. So if I understand your complaint is that he wasn't fined for not breaking the law under exactly the same circumstances you wouldn't have been fined ? And that wasnt the only reason just a reminder the same media that lied and said he visited durham more than once, the police visited his home and the police investigated him for breaking the lockdown have also said in the past that he pursued herd immunity and said who cares if a few old people die leading to threats being made too him. No, I think as a role model and a prominent figure in the lockdown rule-making process, he should be fined and told to resign. He has undermined the government message and endangered lives with his actions. I'm not bothered if he went twice or not. His first trip was illegal, immoral and he shows no contrition, care or remorse. Where he went twice or not, he's made a huge error that has put public health in danger because he believes himself to be above the laws he created. I'm not sure how the herd immunity bits are relevant, that's pretty much his word against the media's.

The media are not setting a good example on social distancing here. Don't the rules apply to them ( essential workers?).....irrespective of whether they are technically breaking the rules, in reality it does not help to reduce the spread.

Yes his word against the media in the same way it was on the false claims of more trips, police investigations, police visits, you don't think its relevant ? On here you get a mild bit of ribbing / piss taking over some things your dad has said in the past now multiply that by 20m+ people believing you have said who cares if a few old people die. It wasn't illegal, there's a clear exception in the rules if you want to argue some people didn't know about that I can remember sky news asking a question and it being answered but then was of course when the media were arguing no one could understand the rules, yet now its crystal clear apparently.

Bernard, The virus in itself isn't political so it seems to me that whatever situation an individual finds themself in , outside the home, they should heed the sensible advice, which I believe has consistently been to" keep 6 foot 6.74 inches apart".....the virus doesn't respect political affiliation nor occupation.

Any stigma is good enough to beat a dogma with. People are losing sight of basic facts. Was it in breach of lockdown rules to make a 260 mile round trip for personal reasons? If,by any interpretation of the guidance it was; then was it wise to do so when one passenger was ill with coronavirus and the driver was feeling unwell? I think I know what a majority would think if it was a member of the public.
