Blimey you're right I've just had a look on Google they've got some well known (if old) names. They should be doing way better than they are. Is it a step up too soon for Buxton? On current evidence quite possibly, i think the players they have should be good enough for mid table. Ben Robinson is a patient chairman and will give Bucko a fair crack. I think someone like John Askey would be a perfect fit, but I’m sure he’s content at Vale. Candidates for replacement don’t exactly stick out, and Bucko may turn it around. I hope so

Blimey that one came out of left field. Let's hope he does as well as last time. He's got his work cut out though. A few Chelsea and Leeds loanees wouldn't go amiss.

JFH from my point of view pushed on with Gary Rowett’s squad playing a very pragmatic game. Not unlike MON. JFH era Burton won the League Two in 2015 but it was not like watching a Nigel Clough team. Jimmy has his work cut out. I wish him all the very best, to maintain Burton as Staffordshire’s second team 😉

It did come out of the blue because Radio Derby were saying this morning John McGrath the former Burton player and now Mickleover Manager was taking over

So Hasselbaink is going to cost BA much less than Clough? Seems unlikely.

I meant to ask you if you'd heard owt, Does Pablo Mills coach for them? Apparently he's a mate of his. I wondered if he was doing his badges through the club?

The last time I looked Morrison was still playing mate and apparently lives locally now as well. How the hell he finds time to play though is a mystery because he’s on TV more than Alex Scott😮Both useless as well. As for Mills as far as I know he’s still playing and I’m not sure if he’s coaching

I think the added pressure of having a successful dad, be it as a player or manager, adds extra pressure on players. It must be hard as the expectation, rightly or wrongly, is that the kid will be as successful as the dad and they rarely are. It couldn't have helped. Maldini is the exception thast proves the rule. Well, for one, Fat Frank Lampard was a much much better footballer than his dad - Frank Snr was decent but hardly exceptional. (And on the point about Nigel Clough's ability as a footballer - he was good enough for Liverpool to sign him and borderline England standard, but probably not quick enough to be top top level.)

My lads just told me he played for Mickleover for a season after he retired as a pro in about 2016 and now coaches for them having helped him get his UEFA B licence. They must have been short the other week. Apparently he was crap and just stood around in midfield all game.
