Any ad that can't be arsed to employ an English speaker and just dub over some voice. Calgon and Mutti Tomato sauce spring to mind.
If you can't record a 20s ad in English to advertise your product, what are you saying about yourself?
But most modern ads are insufferable, humourless and or overly sanguine about whatever they are doing "Halifax, here to save the world and cure all ills instantly" (whilst tedious auto-generated music plays).
Yes we all wish to return to our childhoods, but there's a good reason here.
I mean this is what I'm talking about:
Back then, everyone was humming that tune and it was generally infectious. Can the same be said about, err say, the Lloyds Bank Ad?
