Exactly why the whole wage structure needs a complete overhaul.

Ask CEO's to forego their bonuses. I'm a bit bored with the demonization of (generally) working class people who manage to get well paid. Why do they deserve it less than others? In my world no-one would be able to make such outrageous amounts.

I'm with him tbh.
They're owned by billionaires. I don't buy it at all and I don't blame him for not buying it either.

The surprising thing is that there are still players, like Ozil, who wonder why they get so much abuse from the fans. They clearly have no connection to the supporters and do not relate to the public in any way. They just don't get it. If many more situations like this are highlighted, when football gets under way again, people will be well ready to give the greediest bastards no end of stick.

£350K a week for strolling around on the pitch, and hardly being good enough for their first 11! The world has gone mad!!!

I don't see why he should be taking a pay cut tbh, its not as if the money would be going to clubs lower down the leagues to help them get by, its just to save a billionaire a couple of quid.

I understand that Ozil's personal insurance premiums went up substantially after that attempted robbery incident last year. As a result he has major concerns about the rising cost of living. And if a few airlines go bust during the current crisis he may need to buy a private jet to get home for visits, so yet another worrying expense.

Exactly and if we want to get more money for NHS or other charities then instead of making lazy jibes at an easy target like footballers perhaps Matt Hancock should urge his cabinet collegues to introduce an emergency tax on all of the super rich? No I don't expect it any time soon.
