The meme would've been possibly more effective with an image of Nige or The Bleacher branded on the side of the sheep but fair point 😀

I agree it should be up to Londoners to choose what happens in London As should us in the countryside should be able to chose what goes on in our own back yards It should work both ways or not at all

Well I'm not but I'd love for you to explain why I should be 😂 You are you are an embarrassment to your family 😂 mate I aren't a fan of leftys but there is no need to bring people's families into it. We're all different and we all have different opinions based on life experiences.

I agree to an extent. Too many people getting lease cars and changing them every couple of years for vanity reasons. In a capitalist society though there is no motivation to make vehicles which last long term because there's no money in it. No doubt we Will move onto hydrogen or some other fuel in the next decade and then cause lots of damage to the environment as we manufacture even more cars. I guess the pollution for manufacturing isn't focused on so much because the cars aren't manufactured in London so it's someone else's problem. Really the best thing to do in my opinion is move towards a more shared usage model or something. Everyone isn't using a car 24/7 so it's not needed for everyone to own them. But people like/want to own things :/ But how would you police a shared usage model? You can't force people to share cars. Oh I know. I don't think there really is an easy way to implement such a thing. I think there are apps out there where you can use them to rent shared cars by the hour and stuff as I've seen them in Berlin and Amsterdam before. But something like that isn't the best solution either as it puts a private company at the centre of it and they'd just rip the arse of it for profits. In an ideal world though we'd all share and reuse more in my opinion

I have also heard the argument that the most pragmatically environmentally friendly thing a person can do is to maintain/ keep their cars as long as practically possible and not to change them every two years and not to buy new. Obviously does not address the immediate air quality problem. I agree to an extent. Too many people getting lease cars and changing them every couple of years for vanity reasons. But people like/want to own things :/ I quite like the idea of nobody owning a car. When you want a car, you walk up to one which is parked use an app and open it with bluetooth and pay per mile (or book it in advance so you get the size you need: if you have kids/are going on a long journey with luggage). I bet it would be a lot cheaper than owning for many (particularly if it were state run). Obviously never going to happen, and there are people who need cars all the time/live in remote places so wouldn’t have a fleet of cars to use on their doorstep!

Unless you are a member of the cabinet (which is a distinct possibility given your contribution on here) then you also have “zero power”. Perhaps best avoid a message board if you don’t want anyone to discuss topics or give opinions.

Some people have far too much time on their hands.

This sort of functionality already exists and works, I think they even have it in London. They defo have it in Amsterdam and Berlin. It works similar to those apps for renting escooters. The technology is there for it but I don't think the population is ready for such radical change.

Eh? I didn’t say that at all You brought up the subject that people from outside London shouldn’t be saying what should happen in London I merely pointed out a touch of hypocrisy as Londoners and other major cites have spent years telling the countryside how they should live there lives Maybe we all should have a say or there should be far more decentralisation There shouldn’t be a pick and chose situation
