Hello all. I'm an extremely bored Norwich fan. I posted a thread on the Norwich message board at the weekend asking people for their memory of the best performance by a visiting player at Carrow Road. It may cheer you up a little to hear that the player mentioned the most was Jack Butland. If you were there on the day you'll remember it well.
Hope you're all OK. See you at Carrow Road next season

Most of Jack's decent performances have been tainted with the absolute shit show he's served up for the last 2 years.

All good and well until he broke his ankle vs Germany, lengthy spell out, confidence smashed, should've been England number 1 originally, but then he was 2nd 3rd choice, now isn't making the squad.

Greetings from Norwich.
Couple of things. As a BTCC fan I keeping meaning to get to Snetterton Race Circuit. Looks a fantastic track.
Second. Watched a premier League years over the weekend and it finished with Survival Sunday.
Crystal palace Southampton Norwich West Brom
Dean Ashton was a good signing for you that season.

I went away from the game at Carrow Road thinking I'd just seen the next England goalkeeper. He was absolutely outstanding that day for sure, with a broken finger as well if I remember correctly. Injuries, losing out to the far inferior Jordan Pickford, trying too hard, loss of form, loss of confidence and the form of those in front of him have all left him looking like a pale shadow of the keeper he was and looked like being back then. Perversely, this break may actually help him more than many others. He has looked shot and totally exhausted mentally at times. This could be just the re-fresh and down time he needs to get back to the levels that he is capable of producing.

Viewing at Snetterton is a bit limited. I watch a friend race bikes in the national over 40's and always get there early to get a decent place. I enjoyed that season. One of our finest relegations😂

The best individual Stoke performance I remember at Carrow Road was Brynjar Gunnarsson when we came from two down to draw 2-2 in 2002/03
Lee Mills equalised with this one. Also a big snowball fight that day between the old away stand and the Barclay End

Jerry Goss scored lots like the one in Munich. I liked the one at Anfield best. Liverpool are not well liked in this part of the world. That was our best ever team but it's 25 years ago now and it's been pretty ordinary since 😒

See you at Carrow Road next season Very early in the season, a hot day, Norwich just promoted, you battered us in to next week but Butland pulled off a succession of astonishing saves. I think it was Shaquiri's debut for us, put a free kick on Crouchies (?) head for our goal and we somehow escaped with a 1-1 draw!

Wasn't it Lothar Mattheus headed it to Goss in Munich?

I spent a lot of time in Norwich when I was based at Coltishall. Great night out. Countless amounts of Theakstons Old Peculiar in the Ribs of Beef. I remember watching Darren Eadies brother playing in Wroxham against some of our lads. Eadie, Robert Fleck and Bryan Gunn were there having a good chat with everyone.

If the poster was asking for simply the best performance at Carrow Road, I would of said Delia Smith.
"Where are you?"
