I was sitting here listening to the radio when an annoying commercial came on, so I hit the mute button. A few minutes later I grabbed the remote again and pressed to un-mute. Weird thing is, it was the TV remote and I realized when I un-muted, that the radio had never been muted in the first place, but I swear I never heard the radio after pressing mute. The power of suggestion is damn amazing if this is what this was. Or power of distraction more likely.
That's it, just felt like sharing.

I know in the past that many times I have started to spontaneously run a tune through my head, and thought to myself perhaps I'll put the radio on for some music, only to find that the radio is playing the tune that had just come to mind. Whether I picked up the radio waves, or subconsciously heard the radio from somewhere else like a neighbours, I never know. But something prompted my thought process. Spooky.

I had someone send me a pic a few months back of her posing in front of a car at a classic car show in Manchester. Looked closely at the pic and the one being displayed two behind her used to belong to me which she had no idea I ever owned as was before I knew her. She took about 50 pics that day and randomly sent me just that one.

Fight scene is epic, especially the pub part. 'tis indeed. The whole film's packed with great little nuances and epic quotes. I'd urge anyone to watch it that hasn't seen it. John Wayne's finest hour imho.
"Is this a courting or a donnybrook? Have the good manners not to hit the man until he's your husband and entitled to hit you back."
"Ah, yes... I knew your people, Sean. Your grandfather; he died in Australia, in a penal colony. And your father, he was a good man too. "

Used to get into a pub near the MSG in NY called The Quiet Man, some great decor especially the engraved windows and we regularly holidayed in Galway, the famous bridge is in Oughterard and a tourist attraction still.
