Great win. Just shows what might have been. I feel terrible for Allen. unfortunately, , we will now know how much he contributes. I believe we’ll miss him more than most people think. He contributes on and off the field and seemed to take relegation very personally.

Powell reminds me a lot of Peter Dobing who also underperformed because he sometimes couldn’t be bothered. Waddington pulled a master stroke by making him captain, which made him much more responsible. Might work for Powell.

I’d play Clucas on the left, Powell in the middle and bring in cousins for Allen until McLean is fit.

I don’t know much, but I do know about toilets! To remove the doors you have to negative inside pressure otherwise it is a health and safety concern.

Great win yesterday but for me the gloss was taken off it by the injury to Joe which is is a massive blow to himself and us going forward.
Also having seen James McClean arrive yesterday limping I’d be surprised if he’s involved before the international break.

Waddington would not let Denis Smith train with the players when he 16 because he was afraid he’d hurt them. On the other hand TC was 19 when he started and twig legs. If you’re good enough you’re old enough.

It’s not just hand washing. Not touching your face is equally important. The average person touches their face 22 times an hour. That’s how viruses get in - transfer of droplets from hand to nose, mouth and eyes.

Also, coronavirus does not come from the nether regions! It is important to wash hands frequently not just after going to the toilet is just a good habit of personal hygiene.

Today all large public gatherings have been banned - all games behind closed doors - all cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions closed. Schools and universities closed. And today we had our first 4 coronovirus patients confirmed! Theese closures are for the forseable future!

I think the fact Butland was made captain in Joe's absence for the 2nd half yesterday that he will remain captain for the foreseeable future unless Shawcross returns back in to the first 11 soon.

One positive for the FC might be that Joe Allen is now much more likely to be at the heart of our promotion drive back to the Prem next season rather than getting transferred there in the summer.
