7/10 days ago people were filling their trolleys up to the brim and queuing from the tills to the back of the store. The measures taken were to allow time to replenish the stock without the distraction of shoppers dragging items out of cages/off pallets before they even touched the shelves. It’s not rocket science. Obviously to you retail guys it is. You clearly haven’t got a fucking clue.....

Theres got to be some thought put into a Make British Buy British campain when this is all over. Great idea, we could all get a carrier bag with a Union Flag on it, and emblazoned "I'm Backing Britain". Actually the principal is the reliance of supply from abroad the reliance on to much out side manufacturing will probably change with this and not just in the UK. Logic dictates that following this any further outbreaks anywhere in the world will basically see a huge lockdown for that country of goods going in or out. The Asian markets will suffer with this due to the fact that everything the western world needs is stuck there. Potentially I read somewhere that for items such as medical devices (which having discussed this with my mrs who imports and services medical lab equipment they aren’t much cheaper when you factor in wait times and import duties, buying them in the uk) countries will look more local and tv Chinese market could lose about 25% of their exports.

I can’t give you a link cause it’s insider information. I overheard a Dr listening to a email. It’s no $#!t Right. I've heard Porton Down are injecting a serum in cod liver oil tablets that binds the colon and stops the transmission of faeces borne infections. No shit.

They will have plenty to do in three or four weeks Numpts. Rioting on the streets and civil disorder beckons. Military coup on the horizon methinks. I don't think that's the case at all thorney, everyone seems very relaxed and compliant in my opinion. The crazy panic buying has stopped and people seem to accept we're in for a bit of a long haul. The only thing to change that ironically could be the police being a bit heavy handed enforcing the government legislation (is it even legislation, I don't know??). Not sure. Know where you are coming from and probably all of us feel a bit like that. They are unchartered waters we are sailing in.. Having said that I can well imagine things getting very nasty soon "on the streets" The small minority of shitbags in our society will be in their element with all sorts of shenanigans.

You clearly haven’t got a fucking clue..... All them workers who had to take up shit employment contracts or get sacked and you (i say you in case you are supermarket management)can't get them to stack a fucking shelf. I don’t work in a supermarket in any capacity, I work in logistics. Your average Tesco Extra has 2 or 3 ambient deliveries every day and 1 or 2 fresh/chilled deliveries. Last week they were taking in double the amount of deliveries and would have have received more if the warehouses the stock comes from weren’t full to capacity. So when quadruple the amount of people come in to your store, buying quadruple the amount of goods how do you think the existing workforce cope? Do they unload the vehicles trying to deliver, do they stack shelves, or do they jump on the tills and try and clear the huge queues? Because if they don’t clear the huge queues then they can’t get up the aisles to stack the shelves anyway, and if they can’t stack the shelves then they can’t clear their tiny stock room of products which means they can’t unload the truck that’s been sat outside for 2 hours waiting to offload. You’re taking about unprecedented volumes, they’re busier than Xmas with a smaller pool of staff and without months of preparation time.....

You are talking about the small express shops, i understand the multi-role what the workers do, i'm talking about the big supermarkets, they have been woeful at helping in a crisis. £3 tins of deoderant suddenly going up to £4, they are as cuntish as Mike Ashley

Just draw a line in the sand fella... Tbh I'm totally worn out over the last few weeks working my bollocks off I just hope to god all the ones we all love come through this safe and sound

A Tesco Extra is a big supermarket, you’ve lost me? Misread that as Express, sorry. Still unsure what you’re arguing against here? I’m no fan of supermarkets, I spend my working days having my balls busted by the jumped up pricks that work for them in a senior capacity. But these are unprecedented times and the levels of spending particularly last week were off the scale. Things have calmed down about in the last few days and some level of normality has resumed.....
