And if the Sunday Times is right then Cummings was the lead for the herd immunity stuff with Vallance. Which is worrying if true. Lets see if he sues them. Vallance reminds me of the guy from Chernobyl, the good guy who wanted to sort it and save as many as possible. However if his advice was herd immunity then I have totally got him wrong. This will sound pathetic but it's what I did, I googled him, saw he worked for a big pharma company until 2018, got knighted whilst the Tories were in charge etc and immediately got worried.

They give the advice but he makes the final call on timing and leads on the communication, it is both of these two areas we are falling down on. And if the Sunday Times is right then Cummings was the lead for the herd immunity stuff with Vallance. Which is worrying if true. Lets see if he sues them. Cummings was. Then had a complete volte face when presented with the Imperial College report that said it would deliver 500,000 deaths this year. Presumably thought that might lengthen the odds on re-electability a bit

This presser effectively confirms that anyone can be in work if they’re not on shutdown. Just being told to raise concerns with employers!
That isn’t a lockdown is it?

Maybe everything is playing out just the way they want it to Playing out just the way they want it? At every step they have had to clarify exactly what they mean and then almost immediately reluctantly go a step or two further than they announced.

Well, that’s not a good figure for the last 24 hours, is it? We’ll be looking at 100 per day by tomorrow you’d think. Dreadful.

From the get go the way they've ran this thing has been worrying.

I’ve not been tested but I’m positive I’ve had it this weekend.
All the symptoms, the worst being only able to take quick shallow breaths. I’ve had one of the rarer symptoms of stomach upset, again up there with the worst of it.
In all 3 very bad days, turned the corner and feel well now with just a little fatigue no appetite(gone from eating towards 4000 Kcals a day to around 1000) I’ve had worse colds/flu due to their duration of their major symptoms, but during my bad 3 days can really understand how so many people are passing away from this.
The way I think I contracted it was through a petrol pump, due to working arrangements the past few weeks, that’s the only thing me and my missus have done different, I filled up, no gloves available, nor no hand san in car, must’ve touched my face on the journey home.
Stay safe all and happy lockdown!

Can he really enforce it before the law gets passed by the Lords? Has that happened yet? Debating in the Lords until 8.00pm, then continues tomorrow until a scheduled completion at 3.00pm. To be honest I'd get on with it whether the Lords like it or not. Needs must.

Are they any figures from London alone mate? They’ve announced that 20 deaths were at the same hospital I think Christ, from that you’d have to think there are hundreds of patients there being treated for it as well. Dread to think what the scene is like there.

Answered your own question haven't you? It's cos he thinks he's dead clever and above morons who can only do simple arithmetic. And it was simple. They were 60% at least needed to get it. The're 67 million people in the uk. 60% of that is 40200000 The mortality was said to be around 1% So that's 402000 people expected to die. How did they get it so wrong? As I was saying at the time, it only seemed ideological to me.

Stay safe all and happy lockdown! All the best mate. Have heard a couple of things about people getting completely different symptoms than the regular ones and the actual Corona test wasn’t picking it up, however, X-rays further down the line were detecting it. That came from someone we know at the QE in Birmingham a couple of days ago. I try to be careful what I post on here, as there’s a lot of shit that goes around and nobody wants scaring with nonsense. That could well be a one-off freak case as well, of course.

I wonder what will be the total figures at the end of this? Just for the UK. Cases maybe in the millions deaths around 15,000 maybe?

On a positive note my isolation period has begun in the lockdown! seen reports of similar to what you’ve just mentioned mate. Also some tests are unreliable due to the disease being new. Seems like all countries are following suit so should have this curved soon!
