Because it isn't normal for kids that age. And it wouldn't work anyway. You're not supposed to touch or handle your mask etc 4 and 5 year olds would have masks covered in all kinds of dirt and germs by the end of the day, and they'd then be sticking those germs directly onto their faces. It would achieve the opposite which it sets out to do. V There would be zero benefits and kids that age wouldn't understand. Life isn’t normal at the minute pal. Just have to roll with it. You don’t have to roll with crap instructions from one idiot, which has been slapped down by the medics consensus straight away.

Isle of Wight festival moved from June to the middle of September, it can be very cold then, especially at night. At least it goes ahead which is great news

The adults are more difficult Children rely on the good judgment of adults. The SAGE person who suggested masks for four year olds obviously lacks it. I would hazard a guess she probably doesn’t have kids either. Fortunately it’s been rubbished immediately by “the consensus” before any damage is done.

Do you have this discussion in England?: If you already have had Covid-19, it could be enough with 1 dose instead of 2. No discussion as such but I have seen it discussed among virologists and epidemiologists on YouTube that one dose is basically the booster jab if you've already had the virus. There are also quite a fe anecdotes of people who've previously been infected being knocked seriously sideways after receiving the second jab. Yes. Agnes Wold an external expert wrote about it here, but Anders Tegnell at FHM replied it would take too much of our resources to make individual considerations. And we haven't tested that many people here, so they would have to take for granted people make the right guess when they said they've been sick with Covid-19. My first thought is: If you have had Covid-19 and want just one injection, just don't go the second time ... 😬 Who could force you?

Wearing a face mask all the time is bad for an adult, but for a child it is beyond madness. Reducing oxygen levels can have a hugely damaging impact upon a childs development - not to mention the mental effects of wearing one. Sadly idiotic parents are making their kids wear them.

Susan Michie at it again ... It isn't about a virus for her. Why would it be for a behavioural scientist? Absolute scum she is. Because behaviour affects how viruses spread?

Have you got links on that? My gf has been in an N95 every workday for about a year. A lot of 100+ hour weeks as well. What should I be looking for?

Getting children to wear face coverings is beyond disgusting and frankly anyone suggesting it is a good idea is both bat shit crazy and utterly indoctrinated. Sadly, it's becoming an all too familiar occurrence. I had a wander through Newcastle town centre today and there was a woman with three young kids. All of them were under ten and the youngest one couldn't have been any older than 4. All of them were wearing masks. Maybe they just wanted to copy their mum and maybe the think it's a new fashionable trend? It's not my business to tell anybody how to raise their kids, but that woman is an idiot. Disgusting comment. You dont know that woman or her circumstances or her fears. You seem to have very strong opinions about people who cannot answer you back.

When are they suppose to be using the Moderna vaccine? Might be getting it tomorrow myself. Through US work. Will report back if I'm running on Windows or Android.

My mother is +80. She hasn't been offered her first vaccine dose yet.
Slowest in Europe? I don't know.

On the news here in Sweden today they said the biggest transmission of Covid-19 is between kids now and from kids and young people to older people. In the ICUs (Intensive Care Units) at our hospitals, the only group that have an increase in numbers are the ones between 10-17. That's why they close schools, totally or half way, it's up to each region to decide. When shopping here now, kids are the ones wearing the face masks more often than any other group. I would say most people wear a face mask now, especially small kids and babies. Vaccination of pre school children 3-6 years is our next plan.

React/Imperial at it again. I don’t understand why the bbc run with this? The official data shows a fantastic drop, scientists saying it’s above expectation, week on week healthy % drops then this random bollocks. It completely goes against the official stats, and furthermore it’s portrayed negatively

Correct, it's none of your fucking business and you have no clue about her or their personsal circumstances...but you're going to be a judgmental prick anyway!
Bravo you. What a big man!
Dickhead.
And to think you've been banging on about people's personal freedoms. None of this seems to have taken away your freedom to be a dick about people you don't know, quite clearly. And to think that phrase above came from a fucking admin........embarrassing!
