Looking at all the graphs & charts & what not, the average age of Covid deaths seems to be around 82-83 years old (And with multiple pre-existing, life threatening conditions). A quick Google search tells me that life expectancy in the UK is 81. So what we know so far is that 99% of people who catch this virus have zero symptoms & never even know they've got it. Of those that do show symptoms 99% of them survive & carry on as normal. Of the 1% that do die they're mostly folk in care homes who were already a few years over the average age of death in the country. Is it sad that these people are dying? Of course. Should it have meant the country got shut down, the economy destroyed, jobs lost, businesses gone bump, the NHS becoming a 'Covid only' zone & all other treatments put on hold, kids missing out on education, socialising, friendships, dating etc..? Cases are rising quickly in women in the 20-40 age bracket now, who knows what longer term affect that may have on some, as others have said, long term covid isn't really making the news much, but is now starting to be noticed, it's affected younger fit people as well as older, athletes struggling to walk or breathe properly months after contracting it

How many times do people need to be told these numbers are dubious, or outright fraudulent? It's not a daily death count. Never has been. And they've been used to affect the nation's psyche. And coincided with changes in government policy. No idea when they're from, or whether they've been double counting again. Yet, here we go again, absolute total faith in what you are being told. And that's before we even consider the mislabeling. Like, how many times can you be lied to...? 9,712?

The picture - just isn't good. I don't get the fixation on average age of those who have lost their live either. I really do fear for where we are heading.

It's just indicates a total lack of trust in authority imo. I'm all for questioning and scepticism but there comes a point when this becomes a kind of self-harm. Completely agree - scepticism is healthy but when it tips into cynicism and knee jerk mistrust it's a real problem. I put it down to a confusion between everyone's equal right to an opinion vs an acceptance that some people's opinion in a complex and specialised area is worth more than others because of their knowledge and experience. There's a world of difference between someone claiming they are more important than someone else purely because of birth, rank or social status (and I'm all for levelling that particular playing field) and accepting that some people have a genuine claim to be worth listening to because they know what they are talking about. I think the two have become confused. Some people who haven't got a clue what they are talking about genuinely think their opinion is as valuable as anyone else's regardless of the year's of dedicated effort some people have put into understanding their area of expertise. And the alt right's use of "fake news" and sowing the seeds of mistrust in "experts", science. the media and the "establishment" is playing into that particular ego trip. Eventually you get to the point where people just believe the simplest story available because every opinion is of equal value and there is no basis for deciding what might be true and what might be false. It's really worrying - and to be honest my main motivation for calling out bullshit on this thread. We haven't got a Trump in charge yet but this way of thinking is one way of getting there. Well said, that man.

Never in world history has there been such hysterics to a pandemic. And that has included genuinely dangerous ones like the black death and Spanish flu as opposed to this comparatively weak covid bollocks - a virus that is currently less likely to get you than being stabbed to death and the common flu. It's the 26th most likely way to kill you for a reason. This might sound silly, but they didn't have internet during the Spanish Flu. Social media etc give rise to the hysteria today. Back then, during the Black Death, they thought a life wasn't worth that much either. "What's the fuss all about?" 😅 True!!

Looks like Italy use the same Fisher Price test as the UK.
Someone in a room below kept there for 2.5 months, but hey, it's only people's freedoms at stake.

Latest from SWEDEN:
They regret how they did handle the first wave of Corona. Therefore they will act more resolute this time!
Direct precautions against local outbreaks, like the one happening in Stockholm right now, that more than doubled the number of corona cases in just two weeks there.
* Family quarantine if anyone in the household show any symptoms! Small children excepted, they can still be taken to and from pre-school (2-6?) - but NOT by the ones in the family quarantine. The authorities have no clue how the families will solve that. * A Tegnell's recommendation to people: to consider if it's really necessary to go to work. 😁 , since they see an increase at work places. * It might be necessary to close some schools.

It's absolutely insane isn't it? 1. Does he even understand what it is that he's actually saying? 2. Why doesn't Burley ask him why the false positive rate would be different? She's either a Government shill or completely incompetent. Either way, she shouldn't be anywhere near the position she's in. The 7% figure is wrong, and I want to explain why before the government makes more decisions that have sweeping implications for the UK’s economic recovery, travel sector, and on travel and tourism. www.travelweekly.co.uk/articles/385857/comment-governments-7-testing-figure-is-wrong

Our media is completely toothless, whatever happened to investigate journalism. Totally submissive. Another reason why people lack belief in what they are being told.

The telegraph is reporting that Sir Patrick Vallance has £600,000 shareholding in a firm contracted to develop vaccines for Coronavirus.
No wonder cases are escalating so quickly according to his maths.

RESTRICTIONS It would be interesting to know in what way the restrictions in Sweden differs from the restrictions in England. Especially when the tv news here only mention two of them in England: restaurants, pubs and bars will close at 22, and work from home if you can. Restrictions in Sweden: [Businesses:] * Move the furniture and things to make more space and less crowding. * Offer water (and soap) or hand desinfectants. * Put up information. [Personal responsibility:] * Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds. * Keep the distance to other people at places where people (normally) are gathered, both indoors and outdoors. * Keep the distance in public transports. * Avoid joining bigger social events, like parties, funerals, baptism, celebrations and weddings. * Keep the distance to people in baths and at the gym. Avoid changing your clothes in public dressing rooms. * Avoid travelling during the usual rush hours and avoid unnecessary travelling. [Risk groups:] * Limit your social contacts. * Avoid public transports, including taxi. * Avoid to shop in stores, including grocery stores and at the pharmacy. * Avoid places where people are gathered. [Public transports:] * Organize the traffic to avoid crowding. * Inform the passengers on how to avoid the spread of infection. * Limit the number of passengers per vehicle. [Supermarket/Trade:] * Limit the number of customers who could enter and stay in the room simultaneously. * Introduce alternative solutions to queues, for instance markings for distance between customers. [Sport events:] * Make sure to avoid close contact between athletes. * Postpone matches and events. * Avoid crowding by limiting the number of visitors. * Keep the activities outdoors when it's possible. * Avoid unnecessary travels, in connection with sports. [Workplaces:] * Employers should make sure the seat places are sparsely distributed when it's possible. * Frequently wash your hands and keep the distance to each other. * Work from home if you can. * Avoid unnecessary work related travels. * Adjust the working hours to avoid travelling during the rush hours. * Avoid meetings, or have them digitally. These rules apply for the rest of the year of 2020 in Sweden. When it comes to bigger gatherings, meetings, the limit is 50 people so far. They are now seriously discussing household quarantines, also called family quarantines, meaning when someone in a household gets symptoms of Corona NOONE in that household could leave the home to go to work, to school or to do some necessary shopping at the grocery store and/or the pharmacy. What is the difference in England? Apart from the absence of fees here (as far as I know) ... to ordinary people. Restaurants can be closed though. Personally, I think the crowded buses is the worst problem here. And also, "make sure to avoid close contacts between athletes"? We have had relatively many athletes with Corona here. What are YOUR restrictions?
