Knowing us we'll struggle against lesser sides with home advantage and win away!
That said, we will survive!

It’s going to the wire lads
Never count your chickens at anytime
Anything can happen yet
We just have to pick up points.
For me we need something at Blackburn
Tough old league

I still think Hull could be the surprise team to be relegated. From their remaining games they have to play all the other bottom teams: Barnsley (H) Stoke (A) Charlton (H) Boro (H) Wigan (A) Luton (H)
They also have Leeds and WBA to play. I watched them against Brentford recently and they were really poor. They do seem to be in freefall and I can't see them winning too many games against teams around them.

You couldn’t pick a better time to face Bristol City away, they’ll just be finishing their blowing of play-off chances by then.

Those last 5 are hideous. I think we are well capable of 14 points from the next 7 though. Luton, Hull, Boro, Barnsley I think we can win Reading and Wigan we can get a point That would put us on 51 and pretty safe going into the run del muerte. I'm not sure the last 5 are so bad, we should beat both Birmingham and Brentford at home, neither are any great shakes, and we'll win 1 of the 3 away games because that is what happens in this evenly matched league.

We’ll do it. We may still be a Yo-Yo team but before MON we were just Yo. We were a Dil-Do team.

Can we reach the playoffs? Theoretically we can still finish top of the league with 11 out of 12 wins. More likely we will finish about where we are now - 19th. I wouldn't bank on us winning games against the teams around us. Those are the games where a shocking degree of ineptitude is often on display.

We have won 5 out of 6 against the teams 'around us' since O'Neil has been in charge. We've won 3 out of 5 against the top (top 3 at the time) teams. It's the shit in the middle like the QPR's we've struggled against.

4 wins definitely. 2 draws as well. To be honest I can not see us losing 6 out of 12! Important is that from the games against Luton, Middlesbrough, Barnsley and Wigan we gain a couple of wins and very important that we do not lose any of these.
I feel that after the debacle at QPR it was a different team. They worked on defence during the week, I thought Ba’ath was immense today, It was a much more positive Jack Butland.

It's pointless pinpointing games. We've beaten West Brom away and play off chasing Swansea and Cardiff at home recently. Equally, we'd have expected better than getting battered 4-2 at QPR.
I've seen enough to say we're capable of winning some of the 'tougher' games. While equally if our defence has one of it's days we're capable of losing some of our 'easier' games too. Wigan away is one I'm particularly worried about right now and one we can't afford to lose.
If we keep plugging away and our home form holds up then we'll be fine. I don't see why people see Birmingham at home as being so tough in our final 5 games. The other 4 yeah they look tough.

I have said for a while Barnsley will be the team to watch below us. They are form waiting to happen stats wise and their 3-0 win against Fulham last week was no surprise, yesterday they murdered Boro off the park stats wise - they could have a very strong finish to the season. Wigan on current form in the last 6 games can't be too far off top of the table so both could potentially top 50pts.
Hard to see which teams wont get to 50pts at the moment(Luton aside). It might be one of the highest points tally for a while for survival. I think quite a few on here are correct when they say a few of the teams just above/below us may be the ones that have a poor finish to the season
The next 7 games are clearly massive for us and we have to try and get at least 10pts from those games, but more importantly avoid defeat against Wigan and Barnsley in the process.
There are of course those end of season games when teams have nothing to play for. This sometimes goes in your favour and sometimes against, Stoke finish off against Forest and Brentford hopefully they will be guaranteed play-off spots by then and resting players, but this is Stoke so little chance of that happening.
I personally think there will definitely be 3 teams below us if we get to 53pts which would mean 16pts from the last 12 games which is achievable given MON's record since he has been here - but not if our away form continues in the same way as Derby and QPR - our goal difference will also take a hammering if we carry on in that vein too

And we’ve already beat Luton, Barnsley, Charlton and Huddersfield this season so not sure if you’re point is accurate.....
