The frequency of players showing glimpses of good form then suddenly losing their ability to sustain that form and turn to shit. I'm starting with Bauer in this OP but it may have started before his arrival.
Bauer came in, and turned in some real good performances leaving us feeling pretty confident we'd found a gem, overnight he completely reversed that form. Since then we have seen similar reversals, BMI, Baath, Edwards, CCV, Woods (twice), Ince and most recently Gregory and Cousins and there are probably more you could add.
Until the club find out what the cause is, each and every manager is going to have an incredibly bumpy ride, as this as been happening through five managers now and is still causing concern today.
I believe it is a dressing room issue but who or what is the cause I have no idea.
The other mystery is why we see players who put in regular good performances but get dropped without reason, early this year we saw it with Bojan, Verlinden and Collins and recently with Badou, Etebo and Federici but that is most definitely a managerial issue.

They come in, put in a good showing - and then realise that they can sit on their arses and do fuck all.
Out of LMH, Lambert, Rowett and Mad Nath - I just have a sneeking suspicion that our Mick will suss them out straight away. His body language suggests to me that he isn't a man to "mix it" with. A bit like Poolis in that regard.
We will wait and see ......

Unfortunately we are paying the price for 4 managers in just on 2 years.
Bauer supposedly was a Bowen signing and brought in to play a wing back role and looked very lively as you said.
Lambert and probably correctly thought Bauer was more a winger than wing back.
Then Rowett came in and did not like his attitude and put him in his bomb squad.
Then Nathan appears after being head hunted from the pub and he sees the same issue across the whole team and quickly banished him.
Badou under Lambert was good , then we are told during Rowetts reign he does not want to play for us.
In comes Nathan and he decides when we are in a mess that Badou has a great attitude and based on form you would say Nathan was correct.
MON arrives and he is banished again.
So is the dressing room or the boardroom the problem because MON had clearly been told Badou is going and the events of the last week are correct.
I know I will get howled down but there was never a need for Rowett, Jones or MON .
Lambert had he been kept would not have bought half the dross Rowetts and Jones have left us with.
We would not have FFP issues.
We would have been in and around the play off spots last year. Lambert knew the problems and the limitation of the crew he inherited and had Butland and Charlie and co not made errors of such a magnitude we may have even avoided relegation.
Charlie penalty against Brighten , his sending off against Everton
Jack playing net ball v Leicester and week hands v Everton.
9 points squandered.
This whole sorry mess lays at the hands of the board in my opinion not the dressing room.
The dressing room is a symptom of the root cause ...the board room.

It's like the cashiers up here. They show enthusiasm the first week.

Kenwynne Jones would look like he's on speed compared to these feckless lollygaggers

Ipswich are now third in League One and have only won 1 game in the last 10 matches. Not sure he would have been the answers.

When all employees fail to perform in any business it is a failure in leadership.
Where we place the leadership at SCFC is the question. We have three choices; the Coates family, Scholes or the manager?

We have three choices; the Coates family, Scholes or the manager? It's quite clear that this all resonates from "the process", and that is with John coates and the bafoon who doesn't give a shit... Scholes. He really couldn't care, it's not his money, and his job is to balance the books so that he earns more. What a retarded way of rewarding a CEO.
