Here's my written (by someone else) statement and I'm staying in Oz. Bet she couldn't get out of the country quick enough knowing what she does and the shit was about to hit the fan. My understanding is that if she is prosecuted, she can be extradited to the UK from Oz and she will have the opportunity to give her defence in a court of law whether she likes it or not. It’s not just her though. The former CIO, Mike Young is mysteriously untraceable. My fear is that if there is no testimony from these two, their missing accounts could result in the CPS not having enough to make a prosecution (although there should be enough already from what we have heard from AvB, Singh, and Vennells at al.

I just caught the last bit of it.
I don't recall, I didn't pick up on it, I should have done, I'm sorry. Seems to be her trait, a very devious person she should have to share a cell with Vennels and AVDB

BBC News - Ex-Post Office chair was told of IT risks in 2011 www.bbc.com/news/articles/c88847v14e3o1 In 2011 Perkins was told by their auditors that they couldn't be confident of properly auditing the Post Office because of faults in the Horizon system. 2 At the time the Post Office was prosecuting sub postmasters based on information from the Horizon system. The sub postmasters were claiming their were faults in the Horizon system which the Post Office denied. 3 Perkins claim she did not make the connection between what the auditors said about the Horizon system and the on-going prosecution of sub masters. What the actual fuckity fuck?

It would appear that Perkin's defence is that when she was appointed Chair at the Post Office her role was actually that of a chair (something that people sat on in meetings) rather than a Chair in the sense of someone with actual responsibility for the conduct of the company they wwre working for. No doubt when the inquiry finally does find someone who actually knew what their job was and possessed the integrity to take responsibility for the consequences of their own actions it will be a cleaning lady called Doris who will be duly prosecuted on the basis she was the only one in the company who actually knew what they were doing and prepared to admit that they actually fulfilled the duties in their job description. Based on the evidence presented so far it's the only rational conclusion anyone can come to.

I want a job where I don't have to read emails (seems a very popular theme that affects the post office), understand them in any context or seek out any form of clarification and seemingly do so little bloody work.

Perkins - I don't know what was going through my mind at the time.
Beer - Well can you help us with that.
Her husband is Jack Straw, one of the roles he held was the Secretary of state for Justice ...

Clearly been watching the others and the art of playing a straight bat. Except Jarnail Singh who kept trying to slog things and ended up getting stumped…

Looks like there are now about 36 postmasters complaining about mistreatment under the previous non-Horizon system, Capture, an in house Post Office system, which only had 500-1000 branches at peak and only ran for a few years. If you scale the 36 figure up if Capture was deployed to 100% of the branches and run for 25 years like the Horizon system you would end up with similar thousands of angry PMs being mistreated. It seems obvious there was a culture in the PO of prosecuting sub postmasters despite flaws in the systems. inews.co.uk/news/post-office-bugs-capture-prosecuted-sub-postmasters-3031936

It's a few barristers from Womble Bond Dickinson Solicitors this week, they were also Philip Day's solicitors, he is a billionaire and owns Edinburgh Woolen Mills and many other brands like Jaeger, he lost a court battle when he felled trees in ancient woodland to make access to his land for grouse shooting in 2014 (what a wanker of the highest order) he was ordered to pay £450k fine and similar in court costs and tried to sue his solicitors for doing a bad job as for wrongful advice.
Plus Matthew Lenton - Fujitsu Document Manager, Post Office Account, I wonder if he shredded many documents ?!!

Very slippery. Trying to say he and the firm were just a conduit... The only people working for the Post Office who seem to actually have had any responsibility for anything were the poor bastard sub post masters and they got treated like shit for it.
