Anybody who thought Ince was poor and lazy last night had made their mind up walking to the stadium I actually noticed he was playing yesterday which is a major step in the right direction for him.

A 10 million pound winger in the championship should be getting 10+ assists a season plus 8-10 goals. At the moment doesn't look like getting anywhere near that. Only decent thing about him last night was that it was his shitness that caused the booing, then the rest of the team decided to wake up. I thought it was ward and Edwards going backwards unnecessarily that led to the few boos. It was. It started after Edwards played one backwards when there was absolutely no need for it.

He needs to be more of a goal scoring threat. Playing wide in a front three he should be getting 10-12 goals at least. For me, he lacks the desire to get into the box at times.
Also, being naturally left footed, he’s always looking to cut in which makes him easy to defend against, and also means there are no where near enough crosses coming in from the right unless the full back is providing them.

Anybody who thought Ince was poor and lazy last night had made their mind up walking to the stadium Absolutely He was excellent last night, his work rate out of possession was top draw So what about his creative content this year? Anybody who gives credit to Ince for doing the least you should expect of him, yet criticises Allen for running aimlessly is the one walking to the stadium with their minds made up. After 60 odd games for Stoke, Ince may have woken up to the fact that he has to do work without the ball. When he actually does something with the ball, then fair enough, he may actually become an indispensable player- O’Neill’s constant reference to “we have to play the only two wingers we have” and his glowing praise for McLean makes me think he’s not that convinced by Ince.

Did he beat a man? Goals? Assists? One of the most expensive players in the history of this league, where is the end product?

Anybody who thought Ince was poor and lazy last night had made their mind up walking to the stadium Absolutely He was excellent last night, his work rate out of possession was top draw There’s a huge difference between activity and productivity. He has not produced much of anything. Diouf has scored the same number of goals in 15 min as Ince has in 15 games.

Tom Ince recovering his old Championship form is about our best hope of finding a regular goalscorer. I imagine O’Neill is working on that.

Thought he was poor. Seemed to work harder than he usually does but can’t remember him producing a single moment of quality. Very much this , the times he does do something he’s far to greedy and tries so it all himself and fails

Tom Ince's contribution as a regular forward this season has been 1 goal and 1 assist in almost 21 hrs of playing. Quite staggeringly poor and I hope the manager has his eye on finding someone better for the wide role.

There definitely seems to be an improvement in his attitude and workrate, but the net effect is still zero. He’s about as much use as an empty crisp packet blowing up and down the wing

His chasing back and defending his something he's not best known for, but was happy to do so last night. Has done so since Blacburn so something has happened there. Yesterday also his overall play was class so his new attitude has started to bear fruit? I have never been an Ince fan (look at my previous posts) but I have to agree with stokesupporter that something has changed with Ince since the Blackburn game, I have been to these last 3 games (as well as all home games this season) and I haven’t seen Ince work so hard and have positive impact. Yes he is a luxury, yes he can do better and yes I am still not a fan of his, but if all of the other players improved their performance like he has then the future may not be as grim as I (and most of us) have been visioning
