AJ walking around like he is the King, he may well of Won but come on.. He did what he needed to do. Parker beat him in the same manner. It’s the equivalent of Man Utd turning up at The Brit under Ferguson and leaving with a comfortable 2-0 win. Not pretty but get the job done.....

WOW, AJ said to Ruiz in the Hug, that he respects him and and loves how he is fighting for his cause..
Fair play

Won 11 of the 12 for me boxed him to death. Well done AJ now for Wilder. He's got to now really. Winning this won't fully restore the AJ brand, as most had him as dead cert for the first fight. This was just undoing the embarrassment basically. Still needs to prove himself, so Wilder and Fury* have got to happen sooner rather than later if he wants to regain his rep. * Subject to change: Fury's interest in boxing and/or cocaine may go down as well as up.

If Joshua wins that he’s a lucky lad..... just didn’t do quite enough for me Ruiz on points for me unfortunately Eh? That was as wide a points victory as you will ever see

Good footwork by josh but his head is still, wilder would catch him, also think fury would out box him. It cant be hard to dance around a tube of toothpaste. Josh usually gasses out but he is much fitter without the bulk

If Fury does that, it’s genius.
For me the most impressive “boxing” display of his career. He completely out-thought Ruiz.

Did exactly what he needed to do. Kept the distance well and kept snapping in the jab beautifully. Personally I think he fights make ch better below 17st, looks a lot better on his feet.

A week out from it now, what’s everyone’s thoughts ? I’d like to see Joshua win but I just think Ruiz’s style is kryptonite to Joshua, if you were to design the perfect opponent that gives aj trouble then he would have Ruiz’s attributes IE fast hand speed, heavy handed, stocky and small, durable with a good chin. Maybe if Joshua sticks behind a jab and doesn’t get drawn into a tear up again he can win a points victory but I’m going with Ruiz to win again. I think Joshua gets revenge by keeping it long, but for the reasons you state, I won't be betting on this one. You should have had that bet

I reckon he'll take Wilder and Fury will ko him He needed that defeat and I genuinely think he'll beat them both now. I don't, Wilder has twice the punch power of Ruiz and if AJ stays flatfooted which is prone to it could be goodnight Vienna! Fury for all his faults is a good technical boxer and I remember the gloves are off when Fury told Klitschko how he was going to beat him and he did!

Ruiz came in 30 stone so he could cash in on a third fight The trilogy is pointless, it will be a repeat of the 2nd fight. AJ will move on

I said the other day wilder would KO Joshua, i don't want to get carried away with this fight but he has shown he can fight on the back foot, albeit against a fighter with a far smaller reach than Wilder, but, Joshua is better than Ortiz, and Ortiz had Wilder rocking in their first fight. Wilder has a right hand, its a considerable weapon, but if Joshua can negate that he can beat wilder, technically wilder is poor, he was shown up by a 60% fit Fury.

You're not taking into account AJ can punch too, Wilder is technically poor and if he gets hit its goodnight Vienna for Wilder. Fury is not serious so it's a none starter but AJ would KO him too.

Ive not bought PPV since the haye/Harrison fight, a disgraceful mismatch that i allowed myself to get suckered in by. This wasn't a mismatch like that one, nowhere near. Ruiz was planning on coming into this fight lighter but he apparently felt weak in training so piled the pounds back on and obviously went too far with it, he probably would have lost if he was 30lbs lighter though, Joshua made the correct adjustments and pulled it off, he made his attributes (height and reach) be the deciding factor and not Ruiz's this time. Smart performance if quite boring.

A boxing masterclass.
