Evening to you both,1st of all can I send my heartfelt condolences to Benik Afobe and his family😢 Onto yesterday’’s game and where to start🙄 The team selection to start with CCV at right back, really at home? No Badou or Etebo in midfield, all very strange for me especially when you consider the lack of physicality of the other 3 midfielders picked. Then Vokes up front? What he’s done to justify starting yesterday I’ll never know. The game itself,we never got started at all,we looked laboured and off the pace for most of the game. Then onto the real worry for me the defence.Batth and Bruno just aren’t a solid partnership and the full backs yesterday were poor also. Bruno was supposed to be a beast when he came to the club but he’s anything but, then onto the hapless Batth who with the ball at his feet is woeful. We need Ryan back ASAP to at least bring a figurehead to the back four and to try and organise them. I’m just hoping that yesterday was a bad day at the office for O’Neill because for me his team selection was bizzare to say the least.

I have supported Stoke for 57 years apart from one year after the Blyth Spartans result. For the first time since then, I questioned whether I should be doing something more constructive with my life and switched the stream off at halftime. I am so sick of being disappointed by this team..but it's not just THIS team, it's every team for the last three seasons. Managers come and go but nothing changes. We lack pace, we can't do the basics, we seem to be unable to take corners, free kicks or throw ins with any effectiveness. We can't defend, we have almost no shots on target and we fail to turn up in the first half, time and time again. These players are stealing a living..but it's not just these players..it's every squad we've had for the past three seasons. At the end of every season there are cries to get rid of the dead wood, the bomb squad etc and NOTHING changes.

Evening to you both, well the revival has not seemed to of lasted long does it, i just feel now that we are going to go down the rollercoaster we are on is just in a permanent nosedive and until we bottom out whichever league that is in i don't think we will start to improve its obviously more than the manager/s the whole club seems to be in decline i.e. Sunderland..the final embarrassment will be tomorrow when we pull the unwashed out in the cup and they dump us out of it our embarrassment will be complete.

Good evening from the Isle of Wight, Hope you are both very well. Very sad news for Benik Afobe and his family. Kind of puts a football result into perspective. And on that thought I am not going to moan about our team or any players.
On to next week.
All the best

That setup yesterday Had relegation written all over it and if O Neils persists with Ince Vokes in his first 11 or even as subs then he is as inept as the other managers.
He must see who isn’t good enough and NOT putting in the effort. Forget training it matters on the Pitch!!!

Did you hear Mr Scholes on Radio Stoke talking about financial fair play before the game ?
Seemed to think that winning yesterday was Just a case of turning up such is the complacency of the man
Anything in the rumour that we have stopped paying win bonuses ?
I’m afraid to say that there is something deeply wrong at our football club

Yes, indi was beaten for pace on the second goal but who should have been tracking Gallagher? There was no one near him.

Ange did Scholes say anything about selling the ground to get around FFP like Derby have successfully done?

Good evening Rumours earlier in the week linking Diouf with a move abroad
He wouldn’t be top of my list for players to move on but as his contract expires at the end of this season? it’s feasible he will go

HI all from Bulgaria
So the new manager bounce has ended and we are League 1 bound! Another cheap clueless manager. Perhaps the board should really appoint a new lot of staff that have a better process and know what they are doing with view to getting rid of players and bring in a few better ones. (we can but hope) Otherwise the Coates should sell up - I dont think anything will get better until they go! THey have done well for us over the years but enough is enough - time to go.
And what happened to this long term project that NJ was brought in to manage? Abandoned as soon as the going got rough - so much for a long term plan!
If we do go down (which I really hope we dont) it could be a blessing in disguise. It wont feel like this of course, but all the useless billy big bollocks players will leave the club like rats jumping ship, leaving us mostly with young hungry players - now who wanted to have young hungry players to coach? I would have rather have kept NJ to bring us back up rather than this O'Neil "death by a thousand cuts"
I really am losing my will to live this season - its a good job we have an electric oven! Please give me something positive to hold on to!!!! ( I bet you struggle with this challenge!!!!!!)

Seriously Russ, whether you're a £40,000 a week footballer or a £300 a week worker if your bonuses are taken away you not going to be happy and if some are still getting it you'd be absolutely fuming I would, why is he getting it and I'm not, not a very good working environment.

If Badou has told Mon his desire to leave in January that's probably his reluctance to play him

We're really not doing the basics right at the moment & that's where the errors are creeping in & its been costing us since the start of the season. We're far to predictable & have no decent movement, pace or creativity in the side.
Watching scouts for opposition teams must just be passing the same match report through to each other, wait for the mistakes at the back to occur as they will come, make sure you take them chances & you will ultimately win the game!

A really experienced bunch but no leader out there. Did others notice the front rows of block 30 giving Ward loads when he bottled a challenge? It seemed to do the trick he bucked up to a certain extent after that.

Yeah I noticed that too from the Fam Stand but dont think other area's of the ground may have realised what was happening as think the ref had pulled played up a few seconds afterwards & it did come across to some in other parts of the ground perhaps as maybe fans having a go at either the ref, the liner or one of their players. But from my view & angle dont think there was any doubt it was being aimed at Ward for ducking out of a challenge.
