Nothing will happen. It's Batth who should worry. He's almost identical to Ryan in terms of approach and ability - and equally limited in many ways. Bruno could get dropped for poor performances, though, as could Batth, but it won't be long before the cry then goes up for a composed leftsided defender, not to mention leftback alternative, and then he'll be back. But if the opportunity arises in the window he'll be gone so fast you'd never thought Bruno could move. Until that happens he'll be another wantaway player who's allowed to stay in the team... Batth isn't fit to lace Ryan's boots. What we all knew Dave

You raise an interesting point about Bruno and being off if the opportunity arises. I think that's true of 99% of the squad, which begs the question of why we're only ostracising Ndiaye and Etebo. Allen's reputation outside Stoke is sufficiently high because of his Wales exploits yet he is apparently undroppable? That questions begs the answer that - as you have pointed out yourself - they have not been "ostracised" for transfer reasons. There must be some other reason, tactical or personal. What it is the entire Oatcake and Sentinel readerships and Bet365 stands have been trying to rationalize the past week or longer, and nobody has come up with a plausible explanation yet,

Batth isn't fit to lace Ryan's boots. What we all knew Dave Batth this season has been the most atrocious defender since steven tweed. He literally cannot do anything with a football. 3.5 million on this fucking clown. Simple ball over the top he panics and either gets his team in trouble or just boots it out or back to butland. Wank

I wish we could get the manager, Scholes and Coates on a stage together and ask them directly what is going on. They could of course lie and have a conspiracy between them, but what other reasons can there be other than to protect the asset by not playing two very good players. I don't necessarily disagree if they are being wrapped up, but come clean and be honest with fans. Honesty of course would be a first for the club though so I shan't hold my breath. I just think it's complete nonsense, I posted this earlier in the thread ... Peter Coates: "Listen Michael, don't play Badou or Etebo because we've got buyers for them in January and we don't want either of them getting injured." Michael O'Neill: "But boss playing them now would give us our best chance of getting the points needed to avoid relegation." Peter Coates: "Listen Michael, them not getting injured is more important than us avoiding relegation." It's not a logical suggestion is it? It's far more logical to suggest that O'Neill is simply not CHOOSING to pick either player, don't you think? I think the simple answer is that he knows both players either don't want to be here or won't be here after January so he's trying to get the players he knows who will be in his plans a chance to perform. How much time he gives this is another story.

Yes I can actually, we're desperate for points. Badou for example might want to leave, can you blame him? But he's still putting the effort in when he's playing. The midfield currently, is a fucking walkover pile of piss.

Everyone is for sale, surely? We can't just play our shit players because they're going to stick around, we might as well ask to be relegated now.

He's learning about the squad though isn't he, so he's trying to see if he can get a tune out of them. He's probably realised now it's not happening so I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of them start tomorrow and possibly Powell.

We've thought that for the last couple of weeks though. You'd have thought he'd be reasonably clued up on who was any good at the club before he took the job.

He's not stupid and neither are his international scouting team, they know exactly who Etebo and Badou are, it's scandalous they've been left out of the team, simple.

Well I can see why he's tried to go with the players he knows will be here long term rather than not for the reasons I've stated. Like you say he's not thick and I'm sure these last 3 games have told him everything he needs to know.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-news-live-3622060Where are Ndiaye and Etebo?Peter came back after four weeks out. When I first came he was injured. His training has been ok, not better than ok, so that’s important. There’s no guarantee anyone can come back and go straight back into the team. Badou, I left him out and the team won. Badou played at Cardiff and I didn’t think he did enough to stay in the team. They are not being treated any differently to any other players.

What a load of steaming horse piss. He has the brass neck to moan about the game being a second ball game on Saturday and us not having the physicality in midfield to deal with it - again! Is he on the sauce?

Etebo is playing for the u23s so he's not likely to feature on Tuesday. As for Ndiaye, O'Neill clearly doesn't see him as a DM which is extremely odd.
Going 4-2-3-1 tomorrow by the sound of it

So he plays Butland and Bruno who are not here long term, and whose performances have been dire, and Diouf whose contract is up in the summer, but he doesn't play two who can improve us. Yes that really is intelligent thinking...

On Badou..
"Based on the games I watched prior to the Barnsley game, I left him out for that game.."
You wonder which games he was watching - he was the shining light in a sea of shite.
"He didn't do enough in the Cardiff game to retain his place"
He wasn't great, but who was? And oh for similar benchmarks to apply to Woods and Allen

So he drops Badoe because he didn't play well against Cardiff ( I thought he played ok. He gives you something different) But he keeps useless Woods and useless Allen in the team. He must see completely different performances on certain individuals than I do. Baffled 🤪

Much as I think Badou has been our best player I did feel his performances were deteriorating and I was very disappointed with his game at Cardiff. If he really wanted to play for this manager he has the ability and tenacity to have stood out in that game to persuade the manager to play him. Instead I saw him lose the ball almost as often as he had done in total for the rest of the season and his driving forward with the ball was non-existent. Perhaps he and Etebo are not impressed with the new manager and are not being cooperative. There will always be people who don't get on. Perhaps MON feels that if they are leaving they are not worth the effort (he already has more than enough to work on) or the risk of upsetting players who at the moment are on side and will be here til the end of the season. Let's be honest we wouldn't want the Leeds Badou under Rowett in the team.

Based on their attitude / current training levels yes. Is that so weird? They're clearly pissed off Jones was fired, both seemed to get on very well with him.
