He talks such sense, unbelievable that some Stoke fans would not want him as our manager. Clearly has a plan and the desire to see it through. ... We’ve tried the good at this level manager in Rowett, we tried the up and coming with Jones, both flopped. Shame we didn't try someone who actually had experience of getting out of this division.

To be fair plenty of managers hve taken clubs out of it with no previous experience in doing so. We're in a hell a lot better shape than when he took over so fine by me

As I said at the time we might as well have kept Lambert than go with Rowett. It was an absolutely ridiculous decision and one that's set us back at least 3 years. Giving a bloke all that money when he'd achieved the square route of fuck all was total madness. He's also an utter cunt.

This is the best Pete Smith interview with Villa man and the stories about Shawcross in the last 10 mins are a great insight. Pete Smith really is a great local newspaper club journalist. thanks Grapey for that and all the club info you seek out.

I'm definitely biased but Pete Smith is a top bloke, a massive Stoke fan and a very talented writer. We are very lucky to have him involved with us, fingers crossed for many more years!

A fair reflection of the evening, missing chances, making wrong decisions at times and conceding that they "wanted to win more than we did" I expect Clucas and McLean to return on Saturday, not sure how he will replace Fletcher

We were shit and showed little desire and effort. What others posted about "I learnt a lot about my squad tonight" regarding desire, he contradicts in this interview. Where did he say he learnt a lot about the squads lack of desire Because, well, that is an honest assessment of the shit I just watched.

Exceptionally worrying comments there. Basically, no, actually admitting his players are absolute utter fannies. I'm on your side there Mick. A fair few on you though isn't there?

If he fails this season, you will have to ask yourself if he is the right man.

Don’t think they were overly fannyish tonight were they? I don’t buy the desire thing. We just looked slow because well we are. Brown didn’t chase a few things but past that I can’t think of anyone shirking? And it’s very unlike Brown to do what he did.
