I'm absolutely shocked and saddened by this. I still remember going down to the Vic in the late 60s to see the reserves play and saw one his first appearances for the club.
God rest his soul.
Condolences to all his loved ones.

Good grief.
He was to be the new Terry Conroy.
Slim build, big hair, could have slipped him in the prog rock band The Sweet at the tume, 'Its a Blockbuster'.
RIP

Sean was my favourite player. I had long curly brown hair at the time with similar looks. I remember his debut for Stoke - 100% effort and electric speed. So sad to hear that he has passed away. RIP Sean.

Sad indeed.
Just read on wiki that he walked 1500 miles to Spain in 2012 for charity aged 61 😳
Lovely quote from the sentinel...
He told the Sentinel back in 2012: “I remember after training at Stoke, Gordon Banks would tell us to meet him behind the ground at 2pm.
“It was for shooting practice and we couldn’t shoot in the 18-yard box and we couldn’t go home until we scored. I would be there until 4.45pm, I used to tell him my tea was ready and I needed to go!
“I am a Stokie and I go to nearly all the home games. I never really wanted to leave the club but after the roof blew off at the Victoria Ground they had to sell players.”
