Gregory out Wilson in on loan? Where would Wilson play? Instead of who? I'd be very surprised if there were any more incoming.

As with Batth, Gregory is not a destined to be a regular (for most people with even a vague notion of what the game of association football is about), and we have younger and better alternatives.
If other clubs want him, it's happy days for us with regard to squad trimming.
Those hoping for Sturridge to replace him may be disappointed - these next 2 days are all about getting at least 2 or 3 out of the door.

Lee Gregory 3 goals in his last 4 Championship games Sam Vokes 3 goals in his last 20 Championship games Neither are good enough but I know whose arse I'd kick through the door first. Fair enough BUT you are only likely to potentially'kick through the door', those in whom interest has been shown, eg Gregory. The other wasters await the phone call but until then...........

It's the likely consequences rather than the players themselves leaving though isn't it, Jezza. No Indi means more Fox out of position No Batth means more of the pretty awful (yet strangely manager's pet), Chester No Gregory means more of pound for pound one of worst signings in our history, Sam Vokes I shed no tears for those who have gone but for those who remain!

he's scored 3 times is it in his last 6 or 7 games including back end of last season so maybe he deserved a look in as goals have dried up Not really in my opinion if he was definitely going to move him on, should have been looking at other options the manager obviously likes to rotate, that has been a strategy so far regardless of who.

If possible I think we should let him go to free up wages, and we have better players up front as well.

He's the best striker we've had since Pesch.
Unless he doesn't get a move, then he's back to being wank.

I think the key word is eventually there. I don't think Gregory would have that long in his career to turn it around though tbh He's not gone down well on their forum as you might expect. but yes I agree football fans are generally like the wind. In the end though United didn't sign Madine, even though he helped them get promoted while on loan for a few months, cant imagine Gregory doing something like that at Weds.

I don’t mind Gregory.
Not a world beater but gives it 100% every week.
I reckon we need quite a few out though, so if he goes and we end up with attacking options of Fletcher, Vokes, Campbell and Brown then I won’t be unhappy
Likewise Batth going, I quite like him but we need to trim it down. If we lose him and Lindsay then we’ll look like a far leaner squad. (Also praying some Turkish mugs sign Wimmer and pay him in Kebabs)

He's a good squad player and we wouldn't have the points we have now if it wasn't for his couple of goals

I've never got the hate for Gregory either. He is what he is - a free transfer from Millwall who will give his all.
42 appearances and 7 goals.
For perspective, Vokes has 50 appearances and 8 goals - and he cost 7-9M.

I'd keep Gregory and use him sparingly, largely away from home against better teams. Otherwise he'd be on the bench at best.

I’d get rid of both personally.....
